What do you consider tall for a woman?

5’9+

Over about 5'10

My best friend is 5’7 and I think she is tall but maybe I just know particularly short women.

My best friend is 6'2'' I'm 5'4''!

5'8"

I'm 5'11". I consider 5'9" and above tall. I would have said less when younger but women seem to be getting taller. No idea if that's actually true but perfectly possible - I used to find it hard to buy trousers long enough as a teen but now don't even think about it.

I’m 5ft 9. I am taller than most women I know. I do have some friends who are taller than me but not many. People don’t call me tall though, so perhaps 5ft 11+

I’m 5’8” and I don’t feel particularly tall so I’d say 5’10” and above .

I’m 5ft 1, so anything over 5ft 6 seems tall to me.

5' 7" or 8" and above

Im 5’3 and would like to be a couple of inches taller but I wouldn’t really like to be much taller than that, I quite like being short / average height

Sometimes I see women in tesco and think ‘wow she’s tall’ and then when I get closer I realise we’re the same height, so 5’9 must look tall to me!

I’m 5’6” which feels very average. 5’10” and over I would consider tall.

I’m 5’8” and I’ve started to notice no one calls me tall anymore, I used to get it all the time when I was early 20s. Maybe people are getting taller..or maybe 5’8” just isn’t that tall (or maybe I’m shrinking 😬) I find I’m a little taller than the majority of women I know

When you were younger you may have been thinner and that may have made you look taller
Like the way skinny gangly tall teenagers don’t look as gangly when they fill out a bit

Just a theory

I'm 5'7", so pretty average, but I have often been told I'm tall by strangers, as in "You're tall, could you reach that shelf for me", or "I love your coat, but I couldn't wear that style as I'm not tall like you". I'm tall at work too, relative to a lot of the tiny, older female volunteers. I think I just live in an area with lots of short people, plus I think I'm one of those people who just looks tall even though I'm not. Both of my daughters are taller than me by a good couple of inches, and they pat me on the head and call me shorty.

Maybe it’s because people comment less on appearances now?

I'm 5'10. I suppose I think tall for a woman starts at about my height. Probably 5'9 and above.

I’m 6’1” so I would say 5’10” is tallish.

I am 5'8 and don't consider myself particularly tall.
My boyfriend is the same height as me and in some circles, he would be classed as short for a man. His ex was about 4'7. He used to have people in the street call him a pedo.

Personally I think 5 foot 2 is tall because it’s the height “petite clothing” is based on and I’ve love to be tall enough to fit into the clothes without the jeans/trousers dragging on the floor and sleeves covering my hands.
I also imagine I’d be able to reach the top shelf of my fridge, drive any car as I’d be able to reach the pedals and I’d likely have feet that are bigger than a children’s size 13 and be able to wear adult shoes!

Being 4 foot 10 it’s rare I meet any adult the same height and I’ve never met anyone shorter, most of my friends kids were taller then me before they reached 10 years old.

Women over 5 foot 6 seem like giants to me but I don’t often meet women much taller, I notice peoples height a lot!
DP is 5 foot 7 and he said he thinks a woman over 5 foot 8 is tall but he’s probably biased as we are both short arses.
