@dontcallmelen I feel the same. On MN I used to quite enjoy arguing the political toss with posters with opposing views. But over the last couple of months or so the tone has changed and I don't want to engage with some of them any longer. There is an viciousness that is really disturbing and I really wonder about who they really are.

Eta:I am not talking about anyone on these threads BTW.

If only they could do that with excess PPE profits as well.

Some good news:

MPs voted 104 to 402, majority 298 to reject the Conservatives’ motion which stated the Government should “put the national interest first and not to row back on Brexit, for example by re-introducing free movement through a EU youth mobility scheme”.

I think the PPE Medpro (Mone) investigation is up in court soon.

It’s a Visa scheme! Not freedom of movement!

Which makes this motion even more pathetic.

Desperate measures from the Tories.

Badenoch has vowed to reverse any measures that bring us closer to Europe as soon as she’s able to do it. When do we think that might be? 12th of never?

A vow is progress. Previously she was just thinking about stuff.

But then some don't want us to be closer to India either - it's a mystery as to what is wanted, barring the obvious suspects wanting either empire days or being a 51st state of the US.
It is just absolutely ridiculous raising a vote against anything Europe - they're fine when on 'our side' with Ukraine - they're our neighbours and allies.
