Good. That's all I have to say

Mylovelygreendress · 02/05/2025 14:20

He can appeal to the Supreme Court I think ?

CatsWhiskerz · 02/05/2025 14:22

lol - good! He's a spoilt entitled toddler, he gets amazing police support in the UK but he wants what he wants, but at last somebody said 'no'
I feel sad for the king through as MM will likely not let the children over to the UK, if Harry supports this, or agrees then that's plain nasty .... albeit we don't want MM on British soil, KC should be able to see his grandchildren

Yes but he would need permission to do that, not sure from whom though (just heard it on BBC)

driedgrasses · 02/05/2025 14:23

He's a professional victim. Nobody is even forcing him to visit the UK.

CatsWhiskerz · 02/05/2025 14:24

... ok just heard that the permission would need to be from the very court who just told him no 🤡

He's not used to seeing them anyway.

My question is this...

His logic is that he deserves security because he is the child of the Monarch.

Anne, Edward and Andrew were all children of a monarch and didn't have these security functions.

It's not that long until George and CHarlotte start taking over duties (when you think H has been arguing this for five years, that time will pass quickly). In which case, Harry's relevance in the royal family becomes even lower - add in that he will go lower down the line of succession in coming years, I don't think this could ever be a win for him.

LoveTKO · 02/05/2025 14:28

Nice one. These court decisions are getting better by the day.

Absolute clown

The current system of assessing on a case by case basis is very reasonable and they’ve made the right decision every time.

If he wanted to visit his father with the kids then there’s no reason to think that his father wouldn’t send his security to transport the kids from airport to wherever he’s staying.

Oh their won’t start taking on duties for a long time. Their parents are bone idle. Do you really think they are bringing their kids up to understand that duty means sacrifice.

I’ve not really followed this too closely, but he lives in a country where owning, keeping at home, and (in some places) walking around the supermarket with a gun in your shorts is legal, so how come he feels in danger here?

because he's not allowed armed guards in the UK, unless the actual risk says he needs them.

The precedent of him winning would mean that any person could literally purchase armed security.

Of course the current system is reasonable but Harry wants what William has .

Harry left the country. Therefore he shouldn't get any extra special treatment if he visits. Which is very rare these days. If he wanted his children to have a relationship with William and king Charles he could have done it

savory · 02/05/2025 14:43

Okey dokey now bring on Spare 2 - a world awaits.

Mizztikle · 02/05/2025 14:44

I find it so weird that there's more posts on here complaining about Harry and/or Meghan than Andrew. People are free to like or dislike who they choose but its literally every week! people say he's spoilt, entitled, attention seeking but you're giving him the attention.
there's important issues going on that don't get coverage because Harry's on the front page for some nonsense.

GeorgianaM · 02/05/2025 14:45

The right decision.

He has the money to pay down his own security.

Horrible little twerp.

I expect he was manipulated by she who must be obeyed to set him up as looking bad so that when she divorces him it's just another nail in his coffin of the public disliking him.

ToBeOrNotToBee · 02/05/2025 14:46

@Mizztikle If Andrew kept taking the govt to court, giving interviews, making statements, launching lifestyle ranges and being an all round hypocrite believe me, there would be plenty more threads about him.
But he's not. He's quietly living in exile, licking his wounds and keeping his head down.
H&M might want to take note.

HiddenInCubeOfCheese · 02/05/2025 14:48

I’m by zero means a royalist, but given the amount of money spent on that awful shitbag Andrew, I do feel bad for Harry.

In fact, scrap that. All the money spent on the RF in general and THIS is what the war’s over. #perspective or maybe #priorities?

Mischance · 02/05/2025 14:49

The dangers that he and his family face security wise are not of his making. They are the result of his being born into a family whom we choose to have as heads of state - it is therefore down to us to step and up protect them. Unpalatable to many I know, but if we did not put the family in this position they would not be in need of security.

His decision to step down from royal duties does not reduce his danger - he was born into it.
