I’ve used it to-

Do a colour analysis based on a selfie. I’m a cool winter, apparently.

Calculated my BMI, TDEE, and create a diet plan to help me lose 8kgs.

Calculate the calories I burned on a walk based on the distance, speed, and the terrain (I don’t have a smart watch).

I constantly use it to look for discount codes if I’m shopping online. So far, it’s been 100% successful for everything from clothing to car rental sites abroad.

I’ve also been playing around a bit with the new photo generation capability but haven’t found it great. I asked it to create a headshot I could use for LinkedIn and it made me look like a much older woman of a different race.

Any recommendations for thing you get it to do?

I used it today to give me a summary of pests and diseases of roses 😂

I'm a bit new to this

Radiatorvalves · 18/04/2025 21:16

Holidays. Plan me a trip to a town in Eastern Europe returning from a different country…. With interesting things and good public transport.

TheFlis · 18/04/2025 21:16

I used it to take a 50 page report and condense it to a 2 page summary. It saved me a lot of time!

CannotBelieveImAskingThis · 18/04/2025 21:16

I asked it to write a funny version of 'these are a few of my favourite things' based on things my toddler loves 😂

burntoutnurse · 18/04/2025 21:16

I’ve never used it… what am I missing?

Energe · 18/04/2025 21:17

I made one of the box dolls. I looked well good 🤣

Owlicecream88 · 18/04/2025 21:21

I used it to:
Summarise the key points from a book I was thinking of reading but know I won't have the time to actually read it!
Recipe ideas for a dinner party
Write me a list of what to pack for a holiday
Day out ideas for Easter weekend

Pinkdaisie · 18/04/2025 21:22

Box doll and turn my horse into a human 😂

Silsatrip · 18/04/2025 21:23

As a therapist 😂

You can tell it all kinds of crazy stuff and it is so kind and validating.

And it can do up a plan or step by step approach to a problem.

TomatoSandwiches · 18/04/2025 21:24

I tried to get it to show me what my cats would look like as humans 😂

AmazingBouncingFerret · 18/04/2025 21:25

Meal plan for the week based on family’s likes and fussiness! Then create a shopping list so I can order it for delivery.

NotMyRealAccount · 18/04/2025 21:26

I asked it for advice about how to organise my training around a cluster of running events. It wished me success and made safe and sensible training and associated lifestyle suggestions. I have friends who have used it for guidance on sports injury management or to draw up detailed training plans and it hasn't given them anything that fails the common sense test.

It didn't occur to me to use it to suggest a holiday itinerary, but I'm going to do that for my next trip abroad.

I uploaded a selfie for my colour analysis and it told me I was beautiful and had lovely clear skin 🤣

This. How do you use it?

BeansCounter · 18/04/2025 21:29

I don't use it. I read something here about the level of resources it uses for us to just fuck about and I thought, nah, I'm happy to stay away.

Stardustmoon · 18/04/2025 21:31

Meal planning, colour palette, hairstyle suit, summarising articles, household planning, recipes z shopping lists, what my cat looks like as a human. I love it. I haven't tried it for discount codes though!

User415373 · 18/04/2025 21:32

I've been using it to trial paint colours in rooms. I can reference the exact brand and colour I want and tell it which walls, what decor items to add etc. Much better than the visualisers on some sites. Really helps my husband when I'm trying to explain my vision and he doesn't get it!

Baystard · 18/04/2025 21:32

Learning a new language, it can design lessons based on criteria you set about language, subject for lesson, learning level, etc. You can play what it says to hear the pronunciation. I've not tried speaking to it in a foreign language for it to check my pronunciation, but possibly it can do this, or won't be long until it can.

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 18/04/2025 21:33

I asked it to list key dates and events in the Cold War so I could test DS for history GCSE revision.

^This.

Tell it your problems and see what happens! It gives really good advice 😂

Omg 😱
This just might change my life

Largestlegocollectionever · 18/04/2025 21:51

At work I have HR and Marketing threads - it saves me hours with both.
holiday and travel planning.
writing letters of complaint - it’s been incredible at this actually and when the person responds, I put in their answer and it drafts me a reply.
a school teacher friends uses it to create school plays with exact number of children, speaking parts songs etc
for CBT therapy
I now keep all my book, tv, film recommendations on there
as a project manager for renovating my house

Personally, it’s the most useful internet invention!

Needlenardlenoo · 18/04/2025 21:51

I was having problems working out what the cheaper rentals were on a holiday site (which appeared to have been deliberately designed to make it difficult) and it figured it out for me in seconds. Then it found me a discount code for the ferry.

Thank you for my cheaper holiday, AI!
