How many Easter eggs do you buy DC?

Just bought my Easter eggs for DC. They each have:

1x medium size smartie egg
1x medium size creme egg
2x small size eggs (one mini egg, one milky bar)
1x smartie bunny

And a packet of mini creme eggs to hunt around for.

I know that if you add the sugar value up, it’s a lot, obviously will be spread out etc but I can’t help but feel that it’s not lots? I definitely got more as a child and they won’t get any from anyone else. It’s just we have a holiday next week so I’m just trying to save money for that.

My daughter's first Easter she was 3 months old so got a book. Age 1 she hadn't had chocolate yet so got a book and small gift. Now she's 3 she's getting mostly presents and a tiny bit of chocolate from us. When she's older we might stop doing presents and switch to only chocolate but for now I don't want her having loads of chocolate.

I think it’s important to consider whether the child in question is 15 or 3 😂

One small egg is fine for a small child but a teen would be disappointed…

One. They get one from their grandmother too.

One medium size egg.
There are no other relatives so that’s all he’ll get but he’ll be perfectly happy with that.

My Teens better be bloody grateful or I will eat their eggs myself.

We aren't religious so Easter isn't a thing for me. Didn't have eggs when I was a kid so it's not something i realised people do so much for. When the kids were younger we used to have one from MIL but that stopped when the kids were around 6 (when Easter egg hunts stopped being so interesting). Certainly didn't realise that kids get more than 1-2 of the ones that are about the size of a mug (I'm assuming that's medium?) - surely they would end up having chocolate to eat for weeks.

Just the one. They get another from mil. My mum gives cash instead. That's enough chocolate.

Technically yes, our local Co Op store has them in straight after Christmas. Although we broke them up and it just became random chocolate in the cupboard

I'm sure shops start stocking them earlier each year.

Similar to my dcs. 3 meduim , 2 small , 1 kinder bunny. Pavk of 5 creme eggs.
But lots of odd bits for their hunt. Little foil eggs, chick pens , a mini craft thing. They also have loads from family , usually maybe 10 or so.
They've had 3 eggs this week off mil and bil and eaten most as we allow them to have them when they receive to spread it out.
I'm relaxed when it comes to chocolate and treats anyway. We were raised the same and nothing restricted .

Yes, they're out super early. But I mean, why did your kids get given them in January and not at Easter, which was 4 months away?

1 medium egg and 1 kinder bunny. Also got her some egg shaped chalk and bubbles. We’re at my parents for Easter and I know my mums got a few thing sorted

Also, like I said, they aren’t getting any from grandparents or aunties/uncles etc. It’s just what we get them. Usually, they’re allowed 1 egg on Easter and then bits of them as and when.

Normally, we just buy DS a medium egg and a chocolate bunny.

This year though I've got him a medium egg, a small egg, one of those tiny kinder eggs, a small bag of mini eggs, a bag of Skittles and a roblox gift card lol

I suppose he's older now so it felt right! Besides, we have slightly less relatives that buy for him this year and it wasn't many to begin with.

Generally a bunny and a medium size egg, and then a little egg hunt. What you have sounds great!

@Fuckthecamelyourodeinon Easter isn't only about Christians, just like Christmas isn't.

You're allowed to celebrate it, regardless of religion, as it predates Christian traditions, just like Christmas does. It's a blended tradition, so take whatever you want from it. We celebrate it with a view to the beginning of spring and new life. Hence we all see things like eggs and rabbits and flowers and bonnets etc just like we see holly and flames/light and tile logs etc at Christmas.

One, nice, carefully chosen Easter egg in a theme I know they will love vs a load of cheap nasty generic chocolate they can get any time.

Only one medium egg plus a bag of diddy plain eggs to do a little Easter egg hunt around the farmyard. He’s only three so it’s the first year I’ve bought him an egg at all, not to mention, he has plenty of aunts, uncles, godparents and grandparents who’ll buy far too many for him, so I don’t think I need to add to that!

DD16 will have make up instead of chocolate but she will share the big bag of mini eggs that I’ve bought & I also have 5 caramel eggs (same size as creme eggs). She’s requested an egg hunt so I have an 8 pack with 4 classic creme eggs & 4 caramel.

Mine are teenagers now so 1 large egg each. I probably bought more when they were younger and we did an Easter Egg hunt for them too. Grandparents and Aunts and Uncles also bought them eggs but dont anymore so it wasn't unusual for them to have at least eight easter eggs.
