How many Easter eggs do you buy DC?

Just bought my Easter eggs for DC. They each have:

1x medium size smartie egg
1x medium size creme egg
2x small size eggs (one mini egg, one milky bar)
1x smartie bunny

And a packet of mini creme eggs to hunt around for.

I know that if you add the sugar value up, it’s a lot, obviously will be spread out etc but I can’t help but feel that it’s not lots? I definitely got more as a child and they won’t get any from anyone else. It’s just we have a holiday next week so I’m just trying to save money for that.

One large egg of their choice and some small ones to hunt.

When they were younger, there would be one bunny from the Easter bunny too.

1 if I remember. They get 1 from grandma if we see her.

It is over a week until Easter and DS already has 5 in the cupboard from various different events. He will no doubt get another from his great grandparents this weekend. I have got him one big one from us plus a few small ones to do a hunt. The boy will be eating Easter eggs for months.

My teen/adult children will get one each but I’d get them two plus odd bits like a bunny or small Easter egg hunt eggs when they were younger. Plus I’d do boiled eggs for breakfast (I didn’t usually have time to make them on school days). They’d then get more from family such as grandparents and aunts/uncles.

One medium egg each, would never have occurred to me to buy them more than one. In fact I didn’t realise anyone did until today 🫣

1 medium egg each and some tiny eggs for an egg hunt. They aren’t overly bothered about chocolate their greedy mother is another story.

I've use to buy mine a outfit for Easter Sunday. Now they chose their own clothes, I still buy them something, but only clothing or shoes, no video games or anything.

One. Chocolate seems to multiply in our house for every holiday and I end up having to throw it out because it goes bad. That isn’t because we don’t like sweets. We love them and indulge far too much. I just don’t seem to need to buy anything to have a full pantry stash at all times.

I fill some reusable plastic eggs with useful trinkets and coins for an egg hunt.

I am not anti chocolate, I have a pretty relaxed attitude to sugar but I don't see why they need a huge pile of it over 1 weekend

Tbh I think you’re buying them quite a lot, but possibly only if they’re not getting eggs from others like aunties and uncles, grandparents etc.
I would probably get them 1 each..

i don’t think it’s ever necessary but it’s still nice to have a chocolate egg at Easter when you’re a child.

One each, no family locally. Can’t get my head around some of these replies.

6 each of various sizes plus Easter hunt eggs.

My mum gets them 1. I don’t bother to get them any now they are older teenagers. Perhaps that is bad but I buy them little bits year round. It’s just not really something we do

My 10yo DD has a weird problem with blood sugar like diabetes, if she has it within an hour or 2 is is utterly miserable, sweating and uncomfortable. She has barely verbal autism so it's hard to understand how it feels for her but the meltdowns are awful. Unlike a diabetic she can't have refined sugar at all! Only seeetners.

So I use those refillable eggs that open and put some of her sugar free chocolate smarties in and toys and do the same for her 8yo sister because I don't want it to be too different or risk DD1 finding leftover chocolate. No Easter bunny hunts, no chocolate pennies at xmas..

As an aside though...they really don't need all that sugar. It's all commercialism! Especially at xmas, mine actually eat their xmas dinner. Every cloud...

For the first time in years, my mother in law sent an Easter package so now my kids will have endless everything. It’s all a bit overwhelming as I have been doing it for years so hadn’t planned on a double batch. We are having friends round for an Easter egg hunt so used most of what I bought for the eggs but it’s still a silly amount.

1 x largish, 1 x medium and 1 x small. Plus a shed load from family. Can’t say much as we used to get enough each to open our own sweet shop. I feel bad for children that only get one, it’s a bit mean imo.

Why is it mean exactly?
Its personal choice, as I said I am not some sort of sugar fascist they probably eat far too much year round but it never occurred to me that I should buy more than one Easter Egg. They used to get one from my Mum but shes's not with us now and there is no other family we see regularly so they will get whatever I get them and that is one each

Yes I’m late seventies and will be having two, plus a few creme eggs, mini eggs etc etc . Never too old for Easter eggs!

am not sure why it’s more than 1 either, but 1 is definitely not the norm in DC’s (Catholic) school. We’re Catholic too and I used to get 7-10 eggs when I was a kid, it was more important than Christmas my grandmother always used to say

I'm catholic & Easter is more important than Christmas but not really for the chocolate 😆. I just don't see chocolate as a big deal really or much of a treat.
