How many Easter eggs do you buy DC?

Just bought my Easter eggs for DC. They each have:

1x medium size smartie egg
1x medium size creme egg
2x small size eggs (one mini egg, one milky bar)
1x smartie bunny

And a packet of mini creme eggs to hunt around for.

I know that if you add the sugar value up, it’s a lot, obviously will be spread out etc but I can’t help but feel that it’s not lots? I definitely got more as a child and they won’t get any from anyone else. It’s just we have a holiday next week so I’m just trying to save money for that.

Have only ever got them one each. Our Easter egg hunts are clues and then they find the eggs at the end, which usually includes a few from family as well. DS isn’t keen on chocolate though so he usually has some sort of marshmallow thing!

They used to get one egg or a Lindt rabbit . We would usually see family at Easter so they probably got another one from cousins. GPs didn’t tend to give chocolate.

Always been a thing for this parents interested in avoiding excessive amounts of chocolate! (Might be a Catholic thing too?)

One each, always. Mine are teens now and I buy them a posher egg made of nice chocolate. Dd makes hers last for ages. Ravenous ds not so much! They sometimes get one from grandparents too. It would never have occurred to me to get them more than one tbh.

They used to get one from Grandparents, and one from each of Aunties, then (at Primary school) used to get one from Breakfast club too.
I figured 4 was probably enough.
I'd buy one each for each of my dn.

Not for me, I’m not going there! . Like I don’t get the kids a Xmas eve box filled with pjs and Xmas coco and tat or go absolutely mad at Halloween …too much pressure in society to live up to things I don’t value so I opt out and save for things I do .

One Medium size one. Unfortunately they usually get gifted 2 more.
i don’t understand the point of buying more than one each?!? I feel like when you have loads, it doesn’t feel like a special treat (might be my catholic upbringing 🤪).

One each (they are young adults now) plus they’ll usually be given some cash in lieu by grandparents (maybe £10). We will have a few bags of mini eggs between us too. Always been the same since they were little. Never done presents or special clothes etc.

Just one. She gets loads of them from other people. She got one in school today. She doesn’t even like chocolate that much.

Mine is only 3 years old. He gets a boxed egg from 3 different family members so we decided he didn't need one from us, as it's already a lot for a toddler. We are doing an egg hunt with family so he'll have plenty of little eggs too!

One each and they wont get any more either. I used to get loads and loads, as my mum and dad had loads of brothers and sisters. But im not big into easter now and they have enough chocolate anyway.

@WomBat55I am not sure why it’s more than 1 either, but 1 is definitely not the norm in DC’s (Catholic) school. We’re Catholic too and I used to get 7-10 eggs when I was a kid, it was more important than Christmas my grandmother always used to say ☺️

My kids are older than 18 but still get an egg. My mum still got us one until she died - her kids were all in their 40s.

We have an Easter egg hunt, lots of eggs big and small in the garden. DD still believes in the Easter bunny (I don’t think she does, but likes the thought of it).
We all have a nibble though. she won’t eat a whole egg, sort of opens them and has a a nibble and moves on. Me and DH help her out-honestly the things you have to do as a parent.

0 big eggs. She gets 1 from each set of grandparentswhich is enough.

I put out about 6 little ones to find alongside eggs filled with stickers and other bits. Usually get her an easter gift or two instead like a toy.

They‘ll get one medium size from us, plus mini eggs in their basket.

My mum is getting them one that they‘ll get when we visit just after Easter (she lives in a different country).

DH‘s family probably won’t bother, even though they live down the road.

Very different to my childhood, I used to get so
much chocolate from grandparents and aunts and uncles. Makes me wish I had appreciated it more

One egg from me and we do a National Trust Easter egg hunt so she gets one from there.

I honestly don’t see the need for multiple eggs.

🥰 my mum does this too. She has us 3 kids and now 5 grandchildren. We all get an egg.

A net bag of the tiny foil wrapped ones for the egg hunt (think its 8 or 9 each this year)

My daughter is getting 3 eggs.
My boys are getting 2 and 1 is getting a big bag of haribo sweets the other is getting chocolate rabbit.

So 3 things each + the egg hunt eggs

They aren't big expensive ones though, its 1x £3 medium egg (would be £4.99 but bulk buy deal) and the other is the little £1.49 little ones. Works out at £7 each so hardly crazy.

I don't really have any family so no one else buys them stuff.

My DC are grown ups, I either buy a small egg £1.50 in poundshop and a packet of mini eggs or equivalent or a £3.50 ish size egg.

Huh? They had Easter eggs in January?
