It's fine if you want to chat on here in good faith, but reporting back like that is pretty bad form. Wouldn't you agree? Courtesy

What did I "report back"? Do you mean my comment on the "fux sake" response I had on here? Why is that wrong?

There are comments made on here about other threads on MN. You have just done it yourself.

I would really appreciate a reply on this @TheNuthatch . Can you specify the post of mine where you feel I have "reported back" on this thread?

EasternStandard · 23/04/2025 20:56

Luckily Rosie Duffield provided the expression most feel about Starmer’s misogyny and the producers were quick enough to get it. They deserve an award.

He’s not apologised to her.

He really ought to.

@UpstartledI was wondering why posters might do that.

I’m glad others can see Starmer’s misogyny. It’s writ large. You’d have to be a very loyal supporter to not see it.

His treatment of Rosie Duffield was absolutely appalling and a classic display of how your average misogynist behaves when he cannot control a woman's opinions and behaviours. So it's no surprise to see him speaking with such contempt for Kemi, but it is shocking to see week in and out in pmqs

Sorry, I was dealing with the dc. Yes the fux sake comment.
There may be comments made on here re other threads, you're right about that. But you are a long term poster who has crossed paths and swords with many of us on here. Most of those encounters have been negative due to our very different views on politics. I would much prefer to converse with you, with trust and in good faith, and not have those comments scoffed at by the same poster, encouraging others join in with the scoffing. From what I read, you were replied to (by a pp) in good faith that day. I hope that explains my position. I'm simply asking for courtesy, not a bun fight, in good faith on my part.

The only reason I watched pmqs today was to see RD have her day in the sun. It was marvellous. Starmer refusing to apologise to her confirms everything I need to know about him.

What will the Lib Dems do? They were supporters of women have penises so will they go along with the court ruling?

For clarity's sake, this is the entirety of the "reply in good faith" I received that day that I was referring to. I have removed the identity of the poster.

"hete (sic) we bloody well go Fux sake"

And below is what I said about it on the other thread. Hardly "reporting back". Just stating a fact.

I will leave you to it now as mnhq does not like bunfights. I knew I should not have ventured onto this thread for a second time.

I think the lib dems are hoping it will all just go away, whilst praying that nobody asks Ed Davey what a woman is.

You can venture on here whenever you like. If you do so in good faith, you are welcome. This is a safe place for us too. As I have already said, I am not throwing buns. Even if you didn't scoff intentionally, you must have known what the replies would be like?
That's how I read it. If I am wrong, I apologise.

@PandoraSoxx what are your feelings on Starmer's government now? Have you lost faith or do you think he's capable of redemption? That is not a snarky comment btw, genuine question. There seems to be a mass exodus from Labour, including my dh.

Pandora, you are on that thread trying to galvanise posters to visit here and tell us what we should be talking about.

I can't imagine that you consider.that cricket. Do you see anyone here trying to whip up disruptive posts on that thread? Do you see any other posts like that on MN?

I think you are exaggerating somewhat.

I posted what I did as a joke (note the part where I say I wasn't being serious) in response to other posters who visit our threads (some of whom may or may not frequent these threads) to tell us off for not discussing certain things.

Now you need to stop as MNHQ does not like bunfights or TAATs. Or personal attacks.

I won't be back to this thread again. Have a super day.

Yes, someone clearly needs to stop making everything about themselves.

Upstartled · 24/04/2025 07:22

I'll have an amazing day, thanks Pandora. I always do.💐

@Upstartled thanks, that was a good read. Completely agree than many of the tory losses should be going back to labour now that the Boris boom has ended. Reform will be riding high. Labour will blame everything and everybody but themselves, as always.

@ChardonnaysBeastlyCat Yes, love that. It's so bloody annoying isn't it? I would like them to include people having loud conversations with their phone on speaker.

I'm working in (drum roll).....Runcorn today!
AMA, reporting live 😂.
I was trying to spot Labour or Reform posters on my way in this morning, with lots of eye rolling from dh.

Don't fancy doing a quick vox pop for the thread while you're there, do you Nuthatch? 😁

Not sure how that would be enforced though. I don't use public transport much at all, but when I have it's usually men having loud work conversations on their phones that I find annoying. Not had annoying music yet.

ChardonnaysBeastlyCat · 24/04/2025 11:19

I live in London and I use public transport a lot, it's incredibly annoying and widespread.

I'll welcome anything that can done about it.

There have been others on this thread actively 'infiltrating' Leftie threads and talking about it on these anti-Labour threads. What's the difference?

Upstartled · 24/04/2025 12:14

If you can't see a difference between people joining a thread and encouraging people to disrupt another thread for sport then that's your ideological myopia kicking in.
