@SpringerSprockerCocker why would I want to meet him ? What has my lack of punctuation to do with anything ? I think you’re on the wrong thread Starmer apologists are very far away from here

@Parsley1234yep

SpringerSprockerCocker · 06/04/2025 17:37

She’s getting cross-party condemnation for her ‘right to protect their borders’ rubbish. She is a shameless opportunist that will use any situation to spout her far right rhetoric.

Recent polling suggests there are a lot of people who feel exactly as you do. Labour could have done anything with such a huge majority.

The level of alienation that is being expressed on Labourlist, giving voice to supporters who feel like the party has deserted them, has hit a kind of fever pitch since the welfare reforms. So, I think even the most optimistic voters back in July are sitting on a lot of disappointment. I bet they'd be amazed at the die hards on MN though - last supporters standing at this rate.

SpringerSprockerCocker · 06/04/2025 17:48

Protect borders from two British MPs visiting. Ridiculous leap. Reform voter are you?

@SpringerSprockerCocker probably I will be unless JRM resurrects himself then I’ll be hot footing it to North Somerset to give him my support 🥰actually I signed up to his sub stack last night with the chance to meet him 😘

Parsley1234 · 06/04/2025 17:57

Exactly what businesses did Boris Johnson run/own?

Nothing. That’s the point. Quite happy to destroy businesses through the TORY Brexit.

PandoraSox · 06/04/2025 18:00

Die hard Labour supporters? Mostly I see increasing frustration with the government right now. They are squandering their massive mandate and their comms is so utterly lamentable. They need a massive rethink and to find their backbone.

I think Reform will take votes from the Tories in the local elections. Badenoch is creating very little momentum. I am not sure Labour will gain any councils, but I bet the Tories lose overall control of some.

EasternStandard · 06/04/2025 18:02

😂 @Parsley1234here we go..

Parsley1234 · 06/04/2025 18:06

@EasternStandard @TheNuthatch hete we bloody well go Fux sake

Upstartled · 06/04/2025 18:12

Yes, come on, you know the ones. I see increasing frustration with Labour in my day to day life but you can always rely on a cohort of supporters who seem to know a million pensioners who blew their wfa money on gin and disability benefit recipients who bench press an elephant on the morning and run a marathon on the afternoon. There isn't a labour policy so reckless that they can't conjure a useful character to support it.

Anyway, the local elections will be a weird one. I'm not sure I could call it. The Tories will absolutely lose some seats though.

I saw the comment about die hard Labour supporters and thought as a (possibly now ex) Labour voter I would give you my angle.

Basically Labour seems to be intent on Tory austerity 2.0 and have learned nothing from the Tory mistakes of the last 14 years. It is absolutely infuriating.

Don't fret, am not going to trouble your thread any further.

It was in response to you asking if I was insane. I thought it a bit rich considering your posts are borderline incoherent. I was just wondering if your politics came purely from the Daily Mail when I asked if you had met him. I have heard him speak at various professional events and he does know his stuff, that's all. Who is a Starmer apologist? I was talking about Badenoch not Starmer, remember.

Parsley1234 · 06/04/2025 18:32

@SpringerSprockerCocker god are they incoherent I didn’t think they were. I have heard enough of that grifter being interviewed to know he knows very little and while you are here and seem to be a supporter why did he say he was a solicitor when he wasn’t 🤦‍♀️

Upstartled · 06/04/2025 18:33

That was me, Pandora. I wasn't saying all MN Labour supporters are die hard supporters, just some. I know some Labour supporters are going through the mill at the moment as the party they relied on to act in the interest of the vulnerable have had a u change in values.

There is a lot of c.v. revisionism going around at the moment, you can't expect everyone to keep up Parsley 🤣

Yes, they still are.

He was a trainee solicitor I believe. As a PP said, what had Johnson and Cameron done pre politics? Sunak wasn't very senior at all in the investment banking sector. He was only an analyst at Goldmans for three years. Everyone who is anyone is a director in investment banking.

I suppose I can be relieved that at least the current Chancellor has a wealth of experience.

Parsley1234 · 06/04/2025 18:44

@SpringerSprockerCocker well you seem to get the gist of them incoherent or not so that’s good enough for me
He said he was a solicitor like Rachel from accounts said she was an economist 🤣🤣🤣

Parsley1234 · 06/04/2025 18:45

@ChardonnaysBeastlyCat i would wager your cat has more

Jabtastic · 06/04/2025 18:48

I'm disillusioned completely by Labour but I'm more terrified they are handing us over to the true incompetence of Reform.
