Both DH and I have uk & EU passports, though sometimes for work reasons 1 of us has to travel on the UK one. Means the other can go ahead & get luggage / car hire sorted.
though last week in Spain I got through non EU queue quicker than DH in EU due to more agents on the desks.
DS have now a choice of 3 passports , UK & 2 different EU countries.
as an aside - I was checking my tax code today on the Gov portal - did you know it gives a breakdown of how your tax paid is spent in £s
Welfare / pensions / Govt Debt by far the biggest, overseas aid a few £100 & insignificant in comparison.
