French researcher, going to a conference in Houston, was forbidden entry to US; his work and personal electronics were both confiscated.

Why? He was told his negative opinion of Trump's positions on scientific research could be qualified as terrorism, and a FBI investigation would take place. These charges were later dropped.

I have been discussing the threat of this type of thing with DH. ESTA applications ask for your social media accounts but I think it's still voluntary to include them. However if they don't like your face at passport/immigration control then you're on your own.

Last time Trump was President and we went to visit family in the USA, I deleted all my social media accounts and only left one email account on my phone! Now I'd go without a phone or get a burner phone 🥸

Can you imagine the outcry if someone with a negative view of Biden had been denied entry under Biden?

• ordered the release of Hillary’s emails

• ensured Trump’s tax returns never became public

• restricted disclosure from the Mueller investigation

• limited disclosure of grand jury material in the Trump classified docs case.

I don't know, but I do know she's been doing some stellar journalism and has scooped mainstream outlets several times recently, so I'd take it as something that's at least being kicked around.

Yup, I agree. I have family in the US but won't be visiting them will Trump controls the borders. We'll have to meet (and spend money!) in Canada or Mexico instead.

The next logical step will be to prevent people (or their money) leaving the US.

Start to think of all the things that the US can (and has done) in war, and you have probably seen the roadmap. Internment is obviously going to happen. And seizing assets (remember, you are at war). Habeas Corpus is obviously a woke plot so needs to go. Luckily good old Abe greased the skids for that doozy.

And with the 14th amendment "clarified" the doors are wide open for a roll out of the next phase of "us or them ?" which will be played out for prizes on network TV. This is where "us" gets to shit on "them".

I can see the 8th amendment being clarified too. Look out for "cruel and unusual" to be viewed as "too woke" and hanging, drawing and quartering being introduced. Obviously they'd use 4 Tesla cybertrucks to do the deed.

This is for when you want to laugh rather than cry about it all.

I betcha he'll have another 4 July one. As for the drone show, thank god it doesn't seem to have much traction, the first I've seen it was on this thread and I keep up with what's going on most of the time.
