I honestly think Denmark needs to be quietly shipping some troops into Greenland. Given that the US already has a military presence there, there's a real risk that the US simply 'takes over'.

Well, they are sending extra police. TBH I wish TPTB in Greenland would just ignore this visit and NOT provide any extra security or acknowledgement. Announce it as a 'private visit' and that Greenland's government has no involvement with it. If possible, put some sort of media blackout on it.

On the other hand, it's a good way of getting 'police' ie soldiers in. They can stay there when Vance leaves.

Not say anything, of course. I think the only strategy the rest of the West has is bland politeness while quietly disengaging with the US. I wish the media would stop talking about "Europe". The West is not Europe + the US.
