sometimes you see a celebrity who is gorgeous and then you hear them being interviewed and they’re boring or stupid or vapid and all attraction just goes.

No because despite my username they just wouldn’t be attractive to me if they were “really dumb”. Intelligence is as attractive as looks can be. It’s never just one or the other, for me anyway.

No. Last partner was good looking but absolutely clueless about most things. We couldn't have a conversation (unless it was about cars, the only thing he knew anything about). We'd sit in silence everywhere we went. He was very pretty, but there's more to life than sitting staring at them.

Yes, doesn’t bother me at all. Dh is good looking and more importantly the kindest person I’ve ever met.

Nope, personality, intelligence and common sense are far more important for the long term. Being "hot" is for short term teenager romances or affairs.

I loved tthe big, dumb, rugby playing type in my youth but as you get older and relationships get less physical I can imagine that getting tiresome very quickly.

It depends on the rest of their personality I think. I've been with 'dumb' men. But some are arrogant with it, like a badge of honour that they've never read a book or have no idea who the prime minister is. Others were curious, wanted to know things, took an interest in things they don't know, which is charming.

But intelligence is really hot! So is creativity, passion for things, reading, learning, growing as a person. Those are the things that turn me on.

No. I find 'dumb' people frustrating. I'm assuming you mean of lower intelligence, not ones unwilling to speak, in the literal definition of the word dumb.

Nah, I’m a 2 maybe a 3 on a good day. Someone really hot wouldn’t choose me and if they did I would spend the whole time wondering what their motives are.

Definitely, for a bit. But not long term - DH's intelligence is one of the most attractive things about him.
