Does everyone pay £90 a year for this?

For Microsoft office package?

I've just got a new laptop for work things, I'm self employed. I can't remember what I did for my desktop.

I can't really do anything on it unless I pay but it's not really a bill I ever see people talk about, along with McAfee for viruses, it's getting to be really expensive.

No, my children each get a free subscription through school for a certain number of devices.

I also have a mine provided by work so we don't really need it.

Yes, plus £16 a month for adobe

The cost for Adobe makes me RAGE.

I have to have it for the very rare times I need to edit a PDF but for what I use it for, it is a rip off.

unless I’m using it wrong 🤨

I often use PDFs and never pay anything. I think there is free software available that does the job.

Thanks @LillyPJ- I’ll have to look it up - ridiculous cost so I do need to sort it 🙏🏻

Thank you to the person (or people) who mentioned Groupon for £15 lifetime MS Office. I've downgraded to the £1.99 subscription because I still need the cloud, bringing my total spend for the next 12 months down to around £40 and £24 a year going forwards rather than the £100 ish I would have been paying every year had I not seen this thread and the MSE one.

Just bumping this because I've been very happy with it ever since. Ditched the cloud storage as that was not enough, so now back up to an external hard drive.
