Both Badenoch and Patel have spoken out against Farage Shock

What have they said?

Both Badenoch and Patel have spoken out against Farage Shock

Farage doesn't seem to be reading the room on Ukraine

cakeorwine · 03/03/2025 12:59

They've compared Farage to Corbyn...

"Nigel Farage is completely wrong. President Zelenskyy is a hero, who has stood up to Putin’s aggression, and led his country’s defence against their barbaric and illegal invasion over the last 3 years - and it is troubling to not hear the Leader of Reform say that.
For Nigel Farage to sit there pointing the finger at Zelenskyy is both morally wrong and diplomatically counterproductive. At this uncertain and dangerous time, one would hope that MPs of all stripes would be putting our national interest first, rather than playing politics.
But sadly, it is not surprising. Like Jeremy Corbyn, the leader of Reform UK seems to have history equivocating over Russia’s illegal war in Ukraine."

Deleted as it was a cross post

This was Priti Patel's statement

Lambs and ewe

Ah @derxa they are lovely. Hope your DH is feeling better.

BIossomtoes · 03/03/2025 13:11

Oh beautiful. Thank you @derxa. Spring seems to have sprung.

cardibach · 03/03/2025 13:13

Beautiful lambs @derxa! Were you up all night with them?
Edit: to get them born I mean, not to admire their loveliness!

Ah @derxa they are lovely. Hope your DH is feeling better.

Yes he’s making progress but very nervous about walking without a protective boot. We took him to physio the other day and it was like a military operation.

pointythings · 03/03/2025 13:22

Gorgeous lambs, @derxa. I hope your DH finds his confidence, with such a serious injury it can't be easy.

I’m 360 miles away from them. DS and shepherdess are lambing. I can watch the ewes on sheep cam and alert them if a ewe is starting. That means unusual behaviour like pawing the ground or going round in circles. I can watch my ‘staff’ at work. They know if I’m watching because they can hear the camera swivelling round. They usually respond with a cheery two fingered salute. 🤣

@derxa has anyone recommended hydrotherapy for DH? I had it following a nasty ankle fracture a few years ago and it was a saviour.

Lambs and ewe

Nothing is better than roast lamb! preferably British lamb.

Evenstar · 03/03/2025 13:45

I have just had a bizarre message on Facebook on a post saying that Zelenskyy wasn’t being disrespectful. An old friend commented and said he was, his behaviour was disgraceful and he obviously hated the Russians and wanted to be at war. This is from a very intelligent lady who has a PhD and when I knew her was very well informed about world affairs and somewhat left leaning.

I honestly wonder if she is unwell, it is so unlike her.

I agree

DuncinToffee · 03/03/2025 13:52

That is quite worrying @Evenstar , especially when it's unlike her usual self.

This is thread on the body language of that interview, maybe it helps with some arguments?

I am no Tory or Kemi fan but this is their first chance to draw a clear (and decent) line between Tory and Reform - hoping the normal Reform voters (that I'm told exist anyway) will drop away and Tories can one nation Tory instead of out Reforming Reform at some point.
I have just seen there are folk who are falling for the Ukraine aggression line - so this may disrupt my hopes!
I'm failing to see what changed when I thought nearly everyone in the U.K. was on Boris' side and some getting all excited at the Churchill aspect (well Boris was at least I think!).

Evenstar · 03/03/2025 14:01

Thank you @DuncinToffee that was an interesting read, but now I have seen the below I think I can see where those words may have come from and I won’t engage with it. Disappointing to see someone else I thought I knew expressing those opinions ☹️ I have muted quite a few people on Facebook for sharing Reform stuff.

Here is another bastard not wearing a suit.

Over to you, Comrade Farage.
