We've now received a joint statement from the US and Ukraine after today's meeting in Saudi Arabia which lasted nine hours.
The US says it will immediately lift the pause on intelligence sharing and will resume its security assistance to Ukraine.
The two countries took "important steps towards restoring durable peace" for Ukraine during today's meeting, the US State Department added.
Ukraine has also expressed its readiness to accept the US proposal to enact an immediate, interim 30-day ceasefire.

Ukraine has agreed to a US proposal for an immediate 30 day ceasefire. Ball is now in Russia’s court. Trump is likely about to discover how uninterested in real peace Putin is, unless it’s entirely on his terms.

It's interesting, because Ukraines stance hasn't changed since before the Whitehouse ambush, they have always said they are open to negotiation. and yet the Americans are behaving as though there has been some major breakthrough that means America will now start sharing intelligence again.

The stock market is falling, Americans are beginning to see behind the curtain. I wonder if this has anything to do with normality being reasserted.

The stock market is falling here because Trump said in TV interview that his trade wars could cause a recession in the US, and he's pretty much okay with that. It's not to do with Ukraine.

I suspect that Putin will tell Trump to go fuck himself. And if he doesn’t I wouldn’t trust Putin one iota! He’ll find a way to break any ceasefire and it to be Ukraine’s fault.

Rubio tellingly talked about the security of Ukrainian people being central to this proposed ceasefire, which would be across the entire front line.

Reading Sky News’ live feed and it says “This was a diplomatic healing between both parties, a reset on relations that restores a military alliance.

I had known intelligence sharing had been restored but had weapons supply too?

Will just wait and see with this. To his credit Trump has put the ball in Putin's court. A ceasefire has never been something Russia has wanted, but who knows?

I agree plus US intelligence and military support to Ukraine is back on.

Personally I see this as a win win for Ukraine. If Russia agrees to a ceasefire then the deaths of Ukrainian soldiers stops and if Russia refuses the ceasefire then it is clear to the US that Russia is the obstacle and US military aid to Ukraine starts up again

Russia would be nuts not to agree to a ceasefire and it would simply turn back on the US military support at full flow.
