Zelensky's approval ratings are far higher than Trump's or Putin.
Ukraine's constitution (written before Zelensky entered office) doesn't allow elections during a war - besides which how would anyone arrange an election during a war anyway? Vote from bombshelters? What about the millions of displaced Ukrainians?
Opposition parties in Ukraine agreed that elections should wait until after the war.

So sick of this poor Zelensky crap. He's nothing but a warmonger. He doesn't want the war to end.

All that's happened here is that the mask finally slipped and we get to see America as it really is. You can have as much statesmanship as you like for the cameras but America is a ruthless, self interested country. As the famous quote goes, "America doesn't have friends and allies, it has interests'. If another country's interests align with theirs, thumbs up. When it doesn't, well, we've seen how that goes.

The idea that all was good until Trump walked into the White House is for the birds. We're seeing it now in all its ugliness. But that ugliness has always been there. I mean, ffs, Henry Kissinger embodies that ugliness all by himself, without needing to mention a single member of White House alumni.

Yes, bad Zelenskyy. Why did he invade Russia in 2022? And now he wants to keep a part of Russia and give Russian minerals to Trump. Bad, bad guy.

This isn't Zelensky's war. WE are at war with Russia. We are just fucking lucky that it is playing out in Ukraine (for now) and not on our own doorsteps.

If we back off and allow Russia to win this bit in Ukraine, do you think that ends Russia's war? Do you think that's where Putin's ambitions end? Do you think he will leave us alone?
