I saw the Hibs fans singing Sunshine on Leith after beating Celtic yesterday. I was bawling my eyes out. That song makes me cry every single time. And it's a happy song!! What song gets you every time?

Little wonders (these small hours) by Rob Thomas. It's featured at the end the Disney animation Meet the Robinsons, which was the first film we watched after our son was discharged from hospital having being seriously ill with Bacterial Meningitis.
The film has a lovely ending but I found the storyline so emotional. Even 12 years on I can't hear the song, or watch the film, without sobbing!

This was a hit when my dad was dying.
Even though he looked poorly, obviously, and I looked terrible myself (in a different way of course!? I listened to the advice in the song.
Took more photos.
Have one of us the day before he died it’s quite pointy he was in hospice care then.
After it was taken he told me to go home for a rest and I didn’t want to go. His code words to lighten the mood were….

So those were the last words my dad ever said to me, and the photograph reminds me of them, and him. So it’s sad but joyous.

I'm so sorry you have gone so long without your mum. It must have been unbelievably hard.

I've got the same issue with that song. Thankfully, my mum didn't die when I was young, but I can still hear her singing it to me when putting me to bed fifty odd years ago. It brings back so many memories and absolutely slays me.
