The only Dave I know is my friends spaniel

I know a few David's one I thought was a Dave as everyone called him Dave then I heard him correct someone so he is now David

I know one Dave (he introduced himself as Dave)

And a dog called Dave

I know two Fiona's

No David/Dave's in my family which surprised me when I thought about it

Got 2 in the family and many in the friends and acquaintance circles. It's a name that's still only a generation above though isn't it and has never entirely gone away. I know some in their 20s, 40s, 60s and 70s.

I’ve just had coffee with a friend, and she mentioned a mutual friend… called Dave! I’d forgotten about him so that’s 6 in my circle 😄
We talked about the prevalence of Daves, then discussed what would the ‘Dave of the future’.
We reckon it’s going to be Jack, as our DCs in the same school year know at least 10 Jacks!
But in my opinion, Jack just doesn’t have the same comforting solidarity of a Dave. You know where you are with a Dave.

I've lost count at work - my boss + several other colleagues. Plus a few David's. I've been on multiple calls/email chains that were just me and 3 Dave's! Lots of clarifying which one you were talking to!!

Home life - 3 friends and an uncle are Dave's, plus 3 friends/neighbours are David's.

So yeah, a few! Age ranges mid-30's to 60+.

4 in the family.

4 one is a dog.

I know someone married to Dave, and I used to work with a David, but I don't know any Dave's at all.

I thought of this thread earlier, when I was talking to a Dave, who told me about something (another) Dave was doing, and he clarified, by describing this Dave, so I didn't mix him up with the other Dave.
