Is so, why? I'm awake as my DH told me he wanted us to go our separate ways tonight and so I can't sleep. Have started a thread already so don't really want to bore everyone by going over it again.

I'm not glad that you're all awake for various reasons but it makes me feel that at least it's not just me! I can get to sleep but I can't stay asleep. Anyway, about to have a cuppa and do a puzzle on the iPad!

Sorry to hear that - everything is so much harder without sleep. I dozed for another 15 mins after my last post - feel like shit after only getting about 3.5 hours sleep, so can't imagine only 10 mins x

Maybe thus afternoon but doubt if I'll be able to.

Not sure I even feel tired. Just nothingness really.

What puzzles do you do? @HappyWhenItsSnowing, I have a jigsaw puzzle app and they have a secret puzzle every day where you don't know what the picture is! I enjoy doing it with my early morning cup of tea! Then it's onto Candy Crush and a couple of games of Solitaire. It's all rock and roll here 🤣

@Ironironiron it's not my belief that all men will stop sleeping with their partner, once they have emotionally disconnected. Some do, but others will continue to have sex at any opportunity.
I've not seen your other thread but my first thought was that there's a potential other woman somewhere on the scene - even if nothing has happened yet, it's possible that he fancies his chances elsewhere and that's what has sparked this out of the blue announcement.
Either way, no woman needs a cold man who can treat her like this. Ultimately I think you will be happier without him, even though it feels totally gutting right now.

@Dontneedthedramaimtooold I can relate to the feeling unwelcome/embarrassed. My own DS and GF lived with me for a while and it was hard and we sometimes clashed personalities but largely I felt I'd done a lot to support and help. Then when they moved out, they just weren't very welcoming in their home - I felt held at a distance. It has improved over time though.
In your position, I think a conversation is needed with your DS early on, a reminder that you were there to help him and for him/his gf to be so resentful of a can of Pepsi has hurt you. Sometimes even adult kids need to be reminded of their manners and that their parents are people, who have feelings too. That we don't just exist as their human support provider!

I've had nice breakfast of fried eggs and honeydew melon.

I'm a bit obsessed with melon at the moment. I cut up my whole melon into bit size chunks and put it in the fridge for whenever I fancy it.

I think being a Sunday it's good day if you're not working to watch some good stuff on the telly to take your mind off things or go for a walk listening to the radio or an audible

Hey @CatCaretaker how are you? How are you getting along with your little one? We were in the Dec 2024 group together

He says things like "I'm allowed to be tired" and I'm thinking, I slept with both kids last night and you got to sleep on your own, you absolutely don't get to say you're tired.

He also said I was "sucking the life out of everyone" meaning him and that I was "hard work"

He also spent an hour in the bathroom yesterday evening whilst I looked after the baby, I then went to the toilet and to brush my teeth before bed whilst he held the baby and when I came back he insinuated I had been gone a long time and he couldn't believe I hadn't cleaned the kitchen in the time I was gone (I was honestly five minutes and he usually cleans the kitchen after dinner) I said "why would I be cleaning the kitchen!?" And he said "because I'm tired!"

Yes I wouldn't know anything about that!? I'm over here getting 9 hours a night!?

After we finished arguing he didn't go to bed, he went downstairs to sit on his phone. It beggars belief.

He has the most mild cold ever and he thinks that means he can opt out and leave everything to me. I literally had the flu at 39 weeks pregnant and I still had to get on with it

That is so incredibly annoying. It absolutely beggars belief. Logic and reason just don't apply, it's baffling. If he read what you'd written in that post would anything get through do you think. I think I would leave mine if he complained about holding the baby for 5 minutes.
