What have you had to eat today?

Just looked at a thread about two thirds of the people in England being overweight and got me thinking how much others generally eat/exercise and if that does make a difference to their weight.

Today, I've had porridge on it's own (made with 40g) oats. Two biscuits. Two egg omelette with 1.5oz cheese and six cherry tomatoes. Will probably have apple and nuts when I get hungry around 4pm (usually happens) and later we're having homemade sweet and sour with quorn and veggies (I'll have beanshoots under mine instead of noodles as I'm prediabetic and have to limit unrefined carbs and shouldn't be eating too much sweet stuff - yes, I know I've had two biscuits, but everything else is good).

I didnt wake till 11:58 this morning.
After 3 cups of coffee a shower i was a wake.
Now eating a noddle.
I live on noddles tbh the big round pot ones.

Had a bowl of cheerios for breakfast with a satsuma.
A few strawberries for a mid morning snack
A chicken salad sandwich for lunch made with a wholemeal sandwich thin, along with a few raspberries and nuts.
Planning on spaghetti and meatballs for dinner. Will try and resist after dinner treats but I’m currently in my third trimester and constantly hungry so probably won’t be successful!

For me it was turning 40 during lockdown, not doing any exercise and basically eating cakes every night. I've not been able to pull it back and diet isn't the best now. So overweight it is (not by a huge amount). I do eat more than you have listed. I can't run now as it hurts my knees and haven't taken steps to do any other exercise, can't afford to swim regularly. Used to be a size 8-10, after kids was 10-12. Now 14 for my waist. Hey ho.

Slice of toast with peanut butter
Clementine
Greek yogurt with homemade granola and half a pear
Later I'll have pasta with trappanese pesto and a salad
Will probably have some chocolate in front of the telly later on.

I don't usually eat breakfast. So midday I had a bowl of oat ran porridge with mixed seeds, blueberries, walnuts and almonds.

Today: A snack bag of Doritos and home-made salsa with a hot chocolate. Not a great day, but don't want much else.

Still got my migraine so it's what I fancy right now.

I eat whatever I want when I want. After my Daughter battling with an ED for 5 years and then passing away recently, I am all for balance!

Today I had:

2 Weetbix with half banana
Cup of tea and mini scone with a friend
Potato salad and pasta for lunch
Cup of tea and a biscuit with my neighbour
3 fish fingers with bacon and cheese and salad for dinner
Half a banana and Greek yogurt before bed

Lots of water to drink

A hot cross bun
2 carrots
2 sticks of celery
a chunk of cucumber
a light babybel
homemade veg soup
a cheese salad baguette from Greggs
a small yogurt
an apple
a star biscuit from Greggs (very disappointing, do not recommend)

also planning a banana and kedgeree for dinner

Will have done at least 15k steps, mostly running by the time I go to bed.

Terrible today...started ok with a porridge pot. Who said porridge fills you up? I was hungry two hours later. Ate some leftover chicken pasta for lunch. A slice of sourdough and butter. A twirl. Will probably skip dinner now.

Porridge made with oats, chia and linseed, half a grated apple, pumpkin seeds,walnuts and organic almond milk.

Have just eaten salmon fillet, air fried, with homemade red cabbage, celeriac and beetroot coleslaw, plus edamame and quinoa, followed by Greek yogurt and berries.

Tonight will be slice of rye toast, with a poached egg and avocado, maybe some hummus too.

I’m aware how wanky the above sounds 😄 but this is genuinely how I eat and on a budget, plus I have some long term health issues so try and eat to keep inflammation down.

Hot chocolate first thing with an apple, toddler sized (tiny!) piece of leftover cake at toddler group, one piece of bread and butter at lunchtime and a mini mars bar sat in the car now waiting for school pick up.
Shitty diet today, but I’ll cut me some slack as I’m super mega pregnant and don’t fancy much at all at the moment!

Half a can of Cream of Chicken soup and a couple of mint humbugs. Just getting over pneumonia and can't face anything else at the moment. On the plus side eating like this for four weeks has probably dropped me out of the obese category!

I experimented with a chia seed pudding that I put in the fridge overnight (just milk and chia seeds). Added berries, peanut butter, seeds to it this morning for breakfast. Was OK, probably won't bother again!

Had a tomato, bacon, cheese and mayo toasted bagel for lunch, plus small piece of homemade brownie.

No clue yet what's for dinner, maybe breaded cod in a pitta. Haven't got much in.

I am very active (HIIT classes/yoga/dance/strength training 6 days a week), lots of walking, and watch my eating. In the healthy BMI range. Aim for small calorie deficit each day, don't drink alcohol.
