What have you had to eat today?

Just looked at a thread about two thirds of the people in England being overweight and got me thinking how much others generally eat/exercise and if that does make a difference to their weight.

Today, I've had porridge on it's own (made with 40g) oats. Two biscuits. Two egg omelette with 1.5oz cheese and six cherry tomatoes. Will probably have apple and nuts when I get hungry around 4pm (usually happens) and later we're having homemade sweet and sour with quorn and veggies (I'll have beanshoots under mine instead of noodles as I'm prediabetic and have to limit unrefined carbs and shouldn't be eating too much sweet stuff - yes, I know I've had two biscuits, but everything else is good).

I'm 9 weeks pp and breastfeeding so I am HUNGRY. Had triple choc cereal for breakfast, leftover tuna pasta bake for lunch, half a big Galaxy bar (oops) as I was starving at 2pm. Now we're having a freezer thing with chips and veg for tea. Friday is food shop day if you couldn't tell!

EconomyClassRockstar · 30/01/2025 17:21

Breakfast was a bowl of blueberries and raspberries and a yogurt.
Lunch is a half a bagel (NY bagel so they're huge) with tuna salad, avocado and tobiko and an apple.
Dinner is going to be a big bowl of homemade French onion soup with some salad and fries with a glass of wine. Probably 3 2

PalmLady · 30/01/2025 17:21

I'm 5ft 3 and 9 stone. I feel like I eat an awful lot for my weight but I do have my dinner from a side plate as I hate feeling stuffed. I've just had dinner now at 5pm. Breakfast was at 9am.

Nothing!

Had D&V all through the night (thanks kids), so today I have had water, an effervescent vit C tablet/drink, a cup of black coffee (the withdrawal headach was a step too far) and am now sipping a flat Coke.

I was meant to attempt my first 20km run today (up from 18.2 last week).

That didn't happen 😕

Dahlia1234 · 30/01/2025 17:39

L- beef stew with spelt and a kiwi
D - will be fajitas (I won’t have a wrap, just the mix), bit of cheese and a dollop of sour cream.

I’m on MJ otherwise there would have been other food on there!

Lunch - chicken burger (from the freezer)

Lunch - Sandwich (white thick slice) with ham, lettuce, tomato and cucumber.

currently on Mounjaro. Am no longer prediabetic and I should be able to stop my blood pressure meds next week.

I aim for 1450 calories per day food wise and I walk 5kms daily as well as work out with a personal trainer a few times a week - functional fitness. I also top up my PT with home based routines he posts for me on his app.

And normally I’d eat way more protein than I did today but it’s been a very stressful day at home today and dinner was not what I’d planned to have.

CrepuscularCritter · 30/01/2025 17:56

2 mugs of coffee
1.5 litres water

1 small banana
Half a cheese sandwich on seeded bread

Been too busy to contemplate anything else yet, so this is not planned moderation. I'll need to go and furtle in the freezer for something that has plenty of veggies for dinner

SeekingYourAdvice · 30/01/2025 17:58

Blueberries, Greek yoghurt, flaked almonds, honey and a cappuccino.

A banana.

A salad - mixed leaves, grated Carrott, sweetcorn, cucumber, tomato, beetroot, 2 hard boiled eggs, grated cheese.

A few raw cashew nuts and a small dark chocolate bar.

Dinner will be salmon stir fry with noodles, veg and a bit of soy sauce and sweet chilli sauce.

This is a typical day for me - everything home made, small portions and very few carbs.

LetGoLetThem1234 · 30/01/2025 18:00

1 orange
1 easy peeler satuma
Peanut butter 2 teaspoons with 2 dates
25kg mixed nuts
1 glass of wine (so far🙈)

LetGoLetThem1234 · 30/01/2025 18:03

I am awaiting a stir fry venison, noodles lots of thinly sliced veg. Living the dream! 😍

Allmarbleslost · 30/01/2025 18:04

Yoghurt and granola, 3 scrambled eggs on 2 slices of toast and dinner will be prawn stir fry with noodles and lots of veg.

OneLilacGuide · 30/01/2025 18:05

Breakfast first thing was a bowl of Fage 5% (150g) and some honey, decaf coffee.

Then about 10.30 I had a Stoats bar with a caffeinated coffee, another decaf coffee later in the morning.

Lunch was one slice of Warburtons “protein” bread with 2 scrambled farm eggs, made with Tescos version of Lurpak.

Afternoon snack I don’t always have but today I had a coffee and Lindt choc as I was feeling sad and weepy. Also tried to blow the sadness away with a very chilly walk.

For dinner I think I’ll have veggie sausages, mashed tatties, gravy made from granules because I’m lazy, tenderstem broc and peas.

While I make dinner I’ve got some carrots to snack on 😆 and maybe some fruit juice.

Then I’ll have some decaf tea before bed.

Kim82 · 30/01/2025 18:06

Breakfast - 2 bites of a banana
Lunch - half a Turkey salad sandwich and a yakult
Dinner - just ate 7 small chicken nuggets (left over from what dh made the kids) so that’ll do me for the night.

I’ve also had 4 - could be 5 - cups of tea and 1.5 litres of water so far. That’ll be 2 litres by the end of the day.

I’m on mounjaro and had my jab today so everything makes me feel sick and weirdly I can never face fruit or veg on the day I jab. Tomorrow will be much better food (and nausea) wise.

Clariceamelia · 30/01/2025 18:07
