What have you had to eat today?

Just looked at a thread about two thirds of the people in England being overweight and got me thinking how much others generally eat/exercise and if that does make a difference to their weight.

Today, I've had porridge on it's own (made with 40g) oats. Two biscuits. Two egg omelette with 1.5oz cheese and six cherry tomatoes. Will probably have apple and nuts when I get hungry around 4pm (usually happens) and later we're having homemade sweet and sour with quorn and veggies (I'll have beanshoots under mine instead of noodles as I'm prediabetic and have to limit unrefined carbs and shouldn't be eating too much sweet stuff - yes, I know I've had two biscuits, but everything else is good).

Today I have had 2 slices of wholemeal toast ( thin spread of reduced fat butter).
A protein ready meal of pasta and meatballs.
3 jaffa cakes.
Dinner will be chicken breast and potato cut into chips and cooked in air fryer. Then a yogurt. I am about 2 stone overweight.

Halloumi and avocado on toast for a very late breakfast.

2 almond biscuits my friend baked.

I'm cooking goulash, shepherds pie base and chicken tikka simultaneously. So I'll have one of those for dinner, another for tomorrow's dinner and one for the freezer.

Coffee with oat milk
Tea with oat milk
Alpro plant protein yoghurt
Banana
Tangerine
Chicken & Feta Salad (salad leaves, onion, red cabbage, cucumber, pomegranate seeds and balsamic glaze)
Mini Graze Sticky Toffee Flapjack

For tea later I'll probably make turkey meatballs with pitta and same salad as above and will have a moser roth salted caramel dark chocolate with a peppermint tea for 'supper'

I'm a creature of habit and just eat the same thing most days, I used to have an ED/binge eating disorder and have been both ends of the spectrum size 16 and size 6 but in a much better place now, I don't deprive myself of anything. Deprivation leads to overconsumption for me. I just make sensible decisions, have my dark chocolate every evening but sometimes swap it for a couple of choc digestives.

I think balance is the best thing, everything is fine in moderation. I try and live by the 80/20 rule. No food should be off limits.

Meant to add I am overweight but not obese. I try not to eat ultra processed foods or low fat rubbish. I'd like to say everything is cooked from scratch but I'm not quite there!

B-- 2, cups decaf tea with milk. 30g granola with kefir yoghurt, blueberries and raisins.
L - ham salad mayo sandwich (homemade), a dozen cherry tomatoes, orange, activia yoghurt pot, can of caffeine free Pepsi max.
Snack - I'm in Starbucks having a cup of tea (with caffein) and a packet of Kettle crisps. Random, O know. I've had some water too.
Dinner will be curry from the freezer. I think there's a chicken one and saag channa one. Naan and poppadoms for those who want. Probably squash to drink.
Might have more decaf tea and a small chocolate bar before bed.

Oh god I hate / love these threads in equal measure.

I've had:
2 pieces of toast with butter
A packet of crisps before lunch
Jacket potato with chicken, bacon, mayo mix from the bakery with salad
Chocolate eclair
3 cups of tea
And just had 6 rich tea biscuits with my latest brew😭

The people who say they have an apple / some berries with nuts as a snack make me want to cry. Out of jealousy mostly. But also anger. A handful of nuts and berries would keep me full for approximately 17 seconds.

Cup of chamomile tea
Probably about 1l of water?
A bowl of tuna, mayo & red onion mixed together
Some cucumber slices

Would have eaten more tbh but I've not really been hungry today.

a flat white
a bagel with peanut butter
a peppermint tea
Can of pepsi max
Salad - raw beetroot, feta, blood orange and fennel
No idea what I will be having later though

I've had a cup of tea, and 2 pieces of wholemeal toast with peanut butter.

Going to make some cheese and spinach pasta soon, with a yogurt for dessert.

I'm out this evening, but will have some kind of snack when I get home.

2 coffees with sweetener and some milk.

3 large eggs with 44g avocado, 2 slices of prosciutto on a slice of sourdough.

Protein bagel with leftover roast chicken, 5g pesto, 10g light mayo and 18g cheese.

A bit of cake and a bit of rocky road, a few chips.

Just about to go for a run, when I get back I might have a protein pot or I'll just have dinner (75g spaghetti with one portion of homemade bolognese and 20g cheese on top)

Might have some prosecco if it's not too flat or warm.

I eat whatever I want when I want. After my Daughter battling with an ED for 5 years and then passing away recently, I am all for balance!

Today I had:

2 Weetbix with half banana
Cup of tea and mini scone with a friend
Potato salad and pasta for lunch
Cup of tea and a biscuit with my neighbour
3 fish fingers with bacon and cheese and salad for dinner
Half a banana and Greek yogurt before bed

Lots of water to drink

So sorry 💐. I agree, I eat what I want when I want. I have a very balanced diet and I’m healthy fit and lean.

Breakfast was homemade apple & cinnamon porridge.

Lunch was minestrone - made a massive batch the other day to last me the week.

Dinner will be chicken stew & dumplings.

Oh and copious cups of tea.

2x weetabix with semi skimmed milk and a banana.
Usually would have salad with ham and a boiled egg for lunch but today it was leftover beef stew.
Will have a cuppa and some digestives in a bit.
Tonight is pizza and pasta for dinner.
Mine sounds awful compared to most posters!

Too much, my diet is crap..
Breakfast - Strawberry crisp cereal
Lunch- Egg mayo sandwich, two (!) bags of crisps, apple, satsuma, 2 biscuits, couple of squares of chocolate
Tea will be burger and fries.

Multiple Cups of tea and two cans of pop 😬😬😫😫

Porridge made with water for breakfast; put some milk on that and also had a very weak coffee and a banana. Glass of water.
Small cup of tea late morining as DS made me it without me asking.
Rather unusually, went out for lunch as my nephew emigrates to Australia next week and we may not see him again for a long time so there was my sister and my nephew, dh, ds and I and we all had different things.
I had mince and dumplings with mash, broccoli, carrots and parsnips which was yummy and I am still very full. Had tap water with it then (eventually) a latte which I think they forgot about.
Probably wouldn't have had anything much after that except my husband wanted me to drive him to Wickes which was quite stressful because of the sun being right in my eyes despite sunglasses. Got home and ended up having a mars bar and a few squares of choceur with weak coffee (we're talking about an eighth of a tespoonful of coffee as that's how I like it) but if I hadn't had to drive anywhere I wouldn't have had anything else, except for the apple i am now eating!

Breakfast - 2 slices of protein sourdough toast with butter

Lunch - Greek yogurt , granola , blueberries , seeds and nuts

Kind cereal bar .
Small packet of dry roast peanuts .

Dinner will be - chicken breast , rice and peas .

Eve - always seem to eat some chocolate

I'm supposed to be being good- want to lose a couple of pounds - I'm not overweight. I exercise alot . But I find the carbs and snacks hard to resist .
Mumsnet seems to eat very little !

Apple, half a pack of Pringles.

Coming up shortly …toad in the hole, veg, bread and butter pudding.

I eat less other days.

I made a smoothie with easy peelers, pineapple, blueberries, mango and yogurt for breakfast .

Lunch was tiger loaf baguette with tuna, spring onion and salad cream.

Dinner will be a turkey roast with roast potatoes, carrots, parsnips and gravy.

Also I’ve had a Greggs hot chocolate and I will have three chocolates tonight.

As well as lots of cup of decaf tea.
