Friday Food - what's on the menu?

I finish work at 2pm so am already planning out my evening 😁
Really fancy a takeaway but can't decide between a Thai or an Indian.

What are you eating tonight?
And if you're having a takeaway, what's your order?

No clue yet 🤦‍♀️ we might have fish and chips.

I'm in the red zone so the shops are shut and I forgot to plan in advance.
We'll be playing freezer roulette for dinner!!

Spaghetti bolognaise (just popped the bolognaise in the slow cooker).

We are having burgers chips and coleslaw here. We dont eat beef so they are chicken burgers. Got brioche rolls to have them in. Really looking forward to it!

We are having fakeaway Indian tonight, I’ve been craving spicy food! I wish we had a decent Thai take away nearby.

Last night I made venison burgers and mash with green veg, tasty and quite lean. An acquired taste but sometimes venison is sold very cheap at Christmas (I had them in the freezer).

@AdoraBell love fish and chips but DCs will be having that at school.

@Probablynottheansweryouwant DH is cooking some bolognaise too but that's for the lasagne tomorrow.

@CoffeeCueen We're lucky enough to have 3 in our town but will order from our olf faithful. Should really give the new one a go but we like what we like!

Pizza Friday 🍕 Supermarket ones to bung in the oven rather than takeaway.

I've been craving beans on toast all week so planned to do that, but have 0 willpower and am WFH unexpectedly, so am stuffing my face with it now instead 😂

So probs a takeaway for tea after all. Maybe Wagamamas 😋

Beyond meat burgers with all the fixings, and sweet potato wedges.

I'm dicking about on MNs when I should be doing stuff but have made it to the shops.
We are having fish & chips with peas & ice cream for pudding.

And I picked up some frozen almond croissants from Waitrose for breakfast tmw.

Costco chicken Kiev ( made with all chicken breast). Salad and home made coleslaw.

Fajitas, with left over chicken from last night.

I'm going to regret knowing they sell these now... Manage to resist eating the plain frozen ones I get for DS but almond is a game changer 😬

Aw I'm jealous would live a chilled evening and a takeaway. I finish at 3, school run, 20 minutes at home then to a swimming lesson for 1 DD. Then home with 35 mins at home Before we leave for gymnastics for both DD and then home 8.30pm. So we have to get tea in those 35 mins between activities. Therefore Fridays are jacket potato day. Put them in the oven on a timer in the morning as I leave so they're ready. I have to admit I do enjoy a jacket potato with cheese and beans, but hate the rush of Friday evenings when I'm tired at the end of the week anyway as I work 5 days too. Enjoy your evening whatever you decide to have!

Will have to fall back on something pasta-y, as we're smack in the middle of Storm Eowyn and I am not going out for anything!

same here! I was meant to be going to an appointment early evening and would have picked something up on the way back. Supermarkets are closed at the moment and suspect there won't be much stock when they reopen. I don't even have any wine!! 😱

We're having pad thai with chicken & tofu, looking forward to it!

Everyone has some sort of lurgy or low energy here so pastina and roast chicken today.
