Friday Food - what's on the menu?

I finish work at 2pm so am already planning out my evening 😁
Really fancy a takeaway but can't decide between a Thai or an Indian.

What are you eating tonight?
And if you're having a takeaway, what's your order?

Chicken and ham risotto here, with Viennese Whirls for pudding.

I got fresh french sticks today, so everyone is making their own baguettes! Which was the request. So happy with that.
Tuna mayo
ham
cheese etc. have some big bags of crisps left over from Xmas.

Then I bought strawberries, raspberries and Greek yogurt to balance out the carbs 🤭

Baked Ziti, delicious.

Everyone else is out tonight, so it's just me, the dog and big bowl of gnocchi!

Tacos. Dc are getting into Mexican food.

Cheese fondue with crusty bread, charcuterie and salad. Can't wait!

KFC I’m at the stage of morning sickness where I need to eat (crap) but can’t face cooking anything.

Everything is closed here too.
We are having uncle bens sweet and sour chicken and rice

We're in the middle of the red storm warning and, quite understandably, our usual Friday supermarket delivery for this evening has been cancelled, so it's going to be a freezer rummage. Might just do fishfingers and beans to be honest!

Burgers (veggie for me) in brioche buns with chips and salad here.

Homemade coconut chicken curry and rice.

Pizza here too - Friday night tradition, nice and easy at the end of the week. Sometimes make our own with Crosta and Mollica bases but tonight will be takeaway. Some crudités and salad to go alongside and maybe a glass of red wine. Love the sound of the prawn and chilli linguine though (and rose Prosecco!).

Homemade chicken fajitas here - DH & I will have spiced chicken, refried beans, guacamole, peppers, onions & tortillas. DD will eat plain chicken, tortillas, guacamole & raw peppers & DS will eat plain chicken, tortillas & raw peppers 🙄

I'm having cheesy jacket potato with sour cream and chive dip and some crispy bacon. I cannot wait.

I have maltesers to watch with Traitors (and will have a couple of G&Ts too.)

Another pizza friday house hold - we make ours using tortillas as a base. I'll put out a range of toppings and a choice of tomato pesto or homemade tomato sauce and people can assemble their own. And I'm not going to move from the \TV once the Traitors starts so if they want anything else they'll have to rummage for it themselves.

Oh wow! It has never occurred to me to do this for tea! Like, proper picnic lunch type food for tea. God I love a crusty baguette. Unless it’s summer I always think it has to be something hot in the evening. Unless of course it’s Christmas cheese & biscuits. The more I write the more stupid I sound and I pride myself on my cooking and meal imagination. Doh! Thanks @AwakeNotThruChoice !

My elderly aunt has made shepherds pie which is in the oven as we speak and smells amazing. We’re having broccoli and green beans with it then home made apple tart with gold top milk. It’s been my favourite meal for as long as I can remember. I only came down to visit as she was in the red weather warning area but we’ve decided she’s coming home with me tomorrow for a week or so. Happy days, a couple of weeks of her cooking 😂. She loves feeding us.

We had fish and chips for lunch so don’t need a meal this evening, will probably have cheese and crackers.

Saving money by eating out of the cupboard so noodles, sausage and peas!

I’m home alone tonight so picked up a Dominoes margarita pizza after work it was delicious
