I finish work at 2pm so am already planning out my evening 😁
Really fancy a takeaway but can't decide between a Thai or an Indian.

What are you eating tonight?
And if you're having a takeaway, what's your order?

I really CBA with doing it eating much , DH wants a banana butty , so that's fine by me I might make some air fryer wedges with a fried egg for myself.

UnhealthyCopingStrategies · 24/01/2025 14:07

Just us (adults) at home, so there are various bits from the Ocado order this morning - cold meat, salad bits and nice bread and a bakewell tart with double cream.

pizzaHeart · 24/01/2025 14:12

It’s “what you’ve got in“ day so pasta bake is defrosting and bread and butter pudding is ready to go into the oven later . A bit carb heavy but pasta bake is a small one and some brioche leftovers needed to be used up.
The fridge is empty, I’ve missed usual Tuesday shopping trip and don’t fancy going out today.

I can't wait for dinner tonight, I'm making spinach and mozzarella filled gnocchi (when I say "making" it, it's the shop bought La Famiglia Rana one!) in a cheese sauce, with chicken breasts which I'll roast "in the bag" in the garlic seasoning and tender stem broccoli (I make it using the Nando's recipe!) so quick and easy to do it all but so delicious 😋

An awful pregnancy craving here - but Bernard Matthews turkey drummers! Hadn’t had then since primary school and had to google to see if they still existed! Will have with some veg to try and give the baby at least some nutrients 😂

This just made me laugh out loud! I had the exact same craving during my last pregnancy, I used to think they were absolutely delicious and I couldn't wait to eat them again, I did the same as you and googled whether they even still existed 😂 finally managed to track some down in Iceland and they were so awful 😭 not at all how I remembered them or how I had built the amazing moment up in my head!! I really hope you have a better experience than me!

Something and oven chips.

Stew in oven for weekend.

TheLadyIsAVamp · 24/01/2025 14:27

I'm making a sort of Nandos takeaway, Peri Peri chicken and halloumi kebab, potato skins, corn on the cob, salad and coleslaw

OldTinHat · 24/01/2025 14:38

I've been watching videos of a guy in Rotherham who makes amazing looking breakfast sandwiches.

So I thought I'd recreate one for my lunch.

I didn't even manage a quarter of it, feel rather sick, so will give my tea a miss tonight 😆

Justme10 · 24/01/2025 14:42

Burns dinner here tonight as well since we are going out for dinner tomorrow for a birthday Grin

Smittenkitchen · 24/01/2025 14:47

Either pizza made with ready made bases - probably one mixed veg with cheddar and buffalo mozzarella and one gorgonzola, walnuts, mushrooms and onions or possibly sushi from a posh supermarket where I am (non-uk) which is actually made quite freshly and is really good.

boulevardofbrokendreamss · 24/01/2025 14:49

Kids are cooking, no idea!

hideawayforever · 24/01/2025 14:58

meatballs and spaghetti

butterdish93 · 24/01/2025 15:03

Not managed to get to the shops because of this bloody storm so it will be fishfingers (only got 3) gnocci with butter. Tomoato and smoked mackerel pasta. And garlic bread. And left over chaat. Hopefully that will be enough for the 5 of us... 3 are only tiny so hopefully it will stretch!

Cyclebabble · 24/01/2025 15:06

Made a steak and kidney pie. The mix is easy to do and then I freeze and top up with the ready made pastry. Serve with wedges and peas. Goes down well.

liveforsummer · 24/01/2025 15:07

We're in red weather zone so all shops/schools are closed. Thankfully I picked up some Cajun chicken fillets last night so will make burgers with salad. Having a lovely chilled day!

reluctantbrit · 24/01/2025 15:09

Sausage and mash (and roast potatoes as I don't like mash) plus roasted carrots.

GrannyClanger · 24/01/2025 15:14

Supermarket pizzas and garlic bread for us - plus a movie and some snacks. This has become our Friday night ritual since DS started school in September 😄

Joystir59 · 24/01/2025 15:18

Bacon eggs baked beans tomatoes and buttered toast followed by a Snickers. Washed down with a g&t

femininomenon · 24/01/2025 15:19

Naan pizzas here

MadMadMad · 24/01/2025 15:19

smoked haddock tonight with rice and veggies.

Devonchills · 24/01/2025 15:22

I'm making prawn and chili linguine. A Friday favourite here.
Nice organic rose prosecco to go with it.

Cadno31 · 24/01/2025 15:26

For us it will be chicken pie, mash, swede, peas and chicken gravy 😋

caramac04 · 24/01/2025 15:27

Faggots, mash and mushy peas. I might do cauliflower cheese instead of mash.

Sourisblanche · 24/01/2025 15:28

Waitrose pizzas that were on offer for dc. Fromage french pizza I have had in the freezer for ages for me. Usually make our own but it’s been a long week so…

@MassiveSalad22 my ds asked for that chicken dish this week. May try it on Sunday.

thrifty24 · 24/01/2025 15:30

Also red zone so have been home along today. About to browse the cookbooks as for once have plenty of time to spend in the kitchen, will get the tunes on and open a nice white. Tesco is closed but I am hoping Aldi is open. It's still too wild to step foot outside but hoping it might die down in a couple of hours.
