Worth £6million, apparently. The prizes are getting more and more valuable.

I haven't had a chance to have a good look yet, but will be back with my thoughts when I've done so.

What's the verdict, Omazers?

Only 3 bedrooms …. How the heck can a three bed be £6m? Was my first thought. I would love to live in that area but that house is right on the busy A road with no pavement so not possible to walk to/from the village I think which is a shame.

CoffeeBeansGalore · 16/01/2025 18:16

It's Southfork!! (Dallas for those old enough to remember 😁)

bilbodog · 16/01/2025 18:17

I dont usually like these houses but i love this one - but only 3 bedrooms!

ShyMaryEllen · 16/01/2025 18:18

Yes, three bedrooms is not a lot, specially as it's a long way from home, so if I moved in I'd want to have people to stay. I'd like to see the estate agent details, as so much isn't shown on the website. There is a huge 'entertainment room' that doesn't seem to be shown. Why not?

And why do the Omaze bedrooms never seem to have wardrobes?

I'm not sure about this one. Again there is far too much outside furniture for my liking, and I'm not interested in maintaining a pool. I love the summerhouse though.

And yes - SIX MILLION POUNDS????

Have a look at the floor plan. The third bedroom is small. It's not a lot of house for £6m. Maybe it has a lot of land.

Owly11 · 16/01/2025 18:22

It's ugly and no way is that worth £6m.

ChanelBoucle · 16/01/2025 18:24

It doesn’t tempt me in the slightest. Yes it’s lovely, but it’s a lot of upkeep and to me the landscape looks kind of beautiful but desolate. Probably because I’m used to hills around me! It’s also a long way from me so I’d never go there. I can’t imagine making much from it as a holiday house because a house that essentially sleeps five people is not going to have a great rental to value ratio.

So I’ll pass this month I think. I’m still reeling from the Lake District house 😔

Cattery · 16/01/2025 18:30

I’d sell it

Not2identifying · 16/01/2025 18:50

I love it but wouldn't want to live on an A road. Most of the time the houses are too big for my taste.

OnceMoreWithAttitude · 16/01/2025 18:50

It won’t, it’s up quite a slope from sea level, as is most of Blakeney, which is subject to known high tides.

pikkumyy77 · 16/01/2025 18:51

Blah. I agree with the Southfork comment.

TwoLeftSocksWithHoles · 16/01/2025 18:55

I think they make the prices up.
It's worth what someone will pay for it, and I suspect they can't sell at that price so they put it in a raffle.

ShyMaryEllen · 16/01/2025 18:55

I'm holding out for the Bath one, but won't cancel my subscription. If I won this one I'd sell it - possibly without visiting it. It just doesn't appeal, and there's no obvious way to make it pay for itself.

I loved the look of the previous one in Bath, didn’t know what was wrong with it

The only problem with the Bath one is that I'm going to win it 😀. I have plans for it and everything.

Sorry but I'm winning the Bath one, I'll let you come and stay though

LightCameraBitchSmile · 16/01/2025 19:09

It's a very expensive part of Norfolk and it's not really an A road like you'd expect, just the coast road. Can see why it's worth a lot though £6m a bit steep. I'd say nearer £4m

Mochudubh · 16/01/2025 19:11

The Bath one looks amazing but it's completely the other end of the country for me. I've almost entered some previous draws but the thought of the Council Tax and insurance has made me balk at the last minute.

Redlightbulb · 16/01/2025 19:12

How is it worth 6m when the estimated monthly rental income is only £5,500
vs the Bath house worth 4m with an estimated monthly rental income of £10,000 to £12,000.
Would still love to win either. With all of these houses I would live in for 6 months and then sell as couldn't afford the upkeep.

boatgirl81 · 16/01/2025 19:18

I saw that for sale around this time last year and it was on the market with another property and you could buy both for £6 million. The other is still for sale for £3 million.

garlictwist · 16/01/2025 19:34

It's nice enough but what a boring view! Better than a housing estate I suppose but it's just sooo flat.

Unpaidviewer · 16/01/2025 19:35

I lived not too far from there. Lots of airbnbs and second homes. It's beautiful but lonely in winter.

TheAirfryerQueen · 16/01/2025 19:36

I don't think you'd get 6 million for that.

Is it on a flood plain?

WinWhenTheyreSinging · 16/01/2025 19:38

Sorry folks, I’m winning the Bath one.

I thought this one was a bit ‘too much’, to be honest.
