Worth £6million, apparently. The prizes are getting more and more valuable.

I haven't had a chance to have a good look yet, but will be back with my thoughts when I've done so.

What's the verdict, Omazers?

Me too 😢

I've been to see seals in that area many times which hugely appeals to me. House isn't to my taste exactly but I'd have it for a tenner!

Not sure why they've gone with so few bedrooms though.

Me too 😢

It was meant for me, not sure how the universe messed up 😥

Not2identifying · 17/01/2025 15:51

I'm pretty much the only person who likes the Norfolk one which means they may as well just give it to me even though I haven't entered the raffle.

With Omaze, do you know if you have to go public or can you stay anonymous?

Madcats · 17/01/2025 15:52

I have a ton of admin to do, so I thought I'd go googling instead. When the house was last put up for sale it had 4 bedrooms. What is now the "games room" spent a while as Bedroom 4: https://www.rightmove.co.uk/house-prices/details/england-148607882-62021481?

The page I have linked to also shows the neighbouring houses (the Omaze one is number 144).

I just don't get why they designed the house the way they did - 6 loos for 3 bedrooms seems a lot to me (let's not forget the 7th in the barbecue area).

twiddleit · 17/01/2025 15:56

The Bath house is bigger, twice as many bedrooms and £2 million less, and in Bath!

Who values these places?

Tel12 · 17/01/2025 15:58

It would do nicely!

LostittoBostik · 17/01/2025 15:58

The reason these houses end up with Omaze is that they are developer prospects that fail. These are the values they FAILED to sell at.

Amazing to gifted, of course. But if you immediately sell on (as most winners would, due to running costs) they wouldn't get value stated

It was still a games room really, being called a bedroom to make it a 4-bed, but it's got a bar in it! https://www.rightmove.co.uk/house-prices/details/england-148607882-62021481?s=7cd66177ae51adefd8e429b877bda27855263e7c233b4ba2529f947df490db6b#/floorplan

What - right on the edge of Blakeney Marshes? Freezing wind straight from Siberia and that low-lying?

No ta.

Tallblacktrees · 17/01/2025 16:30

I really like it

Goldleafcat · 17/01/2025 17:28

I really like it too! I would love to live by the sea and I actually love the light and airy rooms. The room sizes are absolutely huge! Only 3 bedrooms upstairs is a little odd I agree, the proportions are massive, they definitely could have easily included an extra bedroom upstairs. However if I won (yes please) I would consider a fold out guest bed for the ‘entertaining room’ (and potentially even split it into two - a play room and another bedroom). I’ve holidayed in Cley (next village along) and the area is beautiful, especially the skies in the summer. Architecturally I do quite like it, although it does remind me of Bicester Village 😂

I am in love with the Bath house though. Those features and character. Stunning.

I quite like it too, and 3 bedrooms is plenty.
Shall we do a month in/month out arrangement?

I think I’m right in saying a winner a few houses ago was all but anonymous, there wasn’t the usual reveal video. Tbh I think anonymity would increase ticket sales.

ThatRubyMoose · 17/01/2025 17:41

Is that a Jack and Jill bathroom? Really bizarre!

Goldleafcat · 17/01/2025 17:43

Oh - this link may be helpful - how it was before the Omaze makeover. Lots of extra info and pics

Yeah, Jon from Berkshire won the Gleneagles house - nothing more about him was provided

It's Southfork!! (Dallas for those old enough to remember 😁)

The best soap ever!

Snowmanscarf · 17/01/2025 19:03

I’d want more than three bedrooms for six mil?

The bedrooms don’t look that big, and with so many windows upstairs, you’d expect more bedrooms.

RisingSunn · 17/01/2025 19:06

I couldn’t believe it was only 3 bedrooms!

ChristmasCwtch · 17/01/2025 19:15

Such a strange house with only 3 bedrooms. Also, the setting looks bleak and desolate.

OnceMoreWithAttitude · 17/01/2025 19:23

The main bedroom is vast. The Dressing Room could easily be extended as far as the main bed door to make another bedroom.

The ‘entertainment room’ is even more vast and could be halved to provide another bedroom with en suite loo.

If I was to win this (unlikely as I have never even entered an Omaze draw) and wanted to keep it to rent as a holiday let, this is what I would do.

Though a ‘family bathroom’ would need to be fitted in somewhere.

Yes. People forget it’s based on the developer listing, not actual value. Going by the Rightmove info above, it’s probably worth £3m at the most. I wouldn’t say no but to value it as £6m is grossly overvalued and disingenuous. Still, for £10 what’s the harm.

Chewbecca · 17/01/2025 19:42

Oh bloody hell, I really don't want to waste my ££ but I really like it! I could easily see myself living there, cooking in that kitchen. It looks very livable in, not too big, just lovely.
Plus, Morston Hall is one of the loveliest restaurants I have ever visited and it is just 20 mins walk up the road! I could spend all the money allocated for running costs eating there once a week.

chaosmaker · 17/01/2025 20:36

Why do they all have to have so much horrible glass and steel....
