What do you have with those filled fresh pasta

You know the things I mean, they're in the fresh section and they come in an array of flavours. I always see them but don't really know how I'd serve it. Please give me your ideas. Today I saw goats cheese and carmalised onion ones in Tesco.... but no idea what to serve with it.

Red pesto and some sort of green veg, mangetout, tender stem broccoli etc, then a chicken breast with a bit if a herby ‘crumb’ for some interest, and salad. Used to have garlic bread by MyFitnessPal says no to garlic bread at the moment!

Aldi do a nice butternut squash and pine nut filled pasta whereby it actually had some pine nut texture in the filling. I find many of the other supermarket ones taste like ‘filled pasta’ as a flavour rather than the constituent parts sometimes.

Little bit of olive oil and parmesan.

I make them into "Cheat's Lasagne". Put in an ovenproof dish and pour over some tomato sauce, top with grated cheese and bake in the oven for about 20-25 mins at 170-180 C Fan. Serve with salad.

It just seems like a more substantial meal that way.

(Waitrose essential tomato and basil jar sauce works well, if it's a bit thicker sauce, I add some extra water as the pasta needs it when cooking - or you could make your own, but then it defeats the speedy ease of it).

Agree with PPs about portion size - it was great when DS was at home as two packs did 3 nicely. Now we either have too much or too little.

Yes, a pack is too much for one but not enough for two. I tend to make 2 portions but bulk out with vegetables like mushrooms, tomatoes or courgettes as well as adding a sauce and cheese.
