I have attended many Christmas markets over the years. They are so crowded especially at the moment as German children finished school for the Christmas holidays. Frightening, my prayers are with all the victim's šŸ™

Thank you

That's a rather long live feed - skimming it I can see no screenshots of Taleb A's SM postings which is what I asked to see

I've just done a twitter search and found 2 posts referencing Hamas
-one makes no sense something about returning Hamas to Gaza /??
-the other is about his support for a one state solution - occupation of Gaza & W Bank

So I'm going to conclude that there's no evidence of him supporting Hamas or being a 'leftist'

He didn't support Hamas, some tweet where he was basically telling someone if you love Hamas so much then go live in Gaza and see how they treat you has been misconstrued as him supporting Hamas.

katter · 22/12/2024 18:17

DuncinToffee · 22/12/2024 18:11

About him being a leftist?

About him being an AFD supporter.

Ah thank you - that's the one that made no sense to me

PeasfullPerson · 22/12/2024 18:19

Shameful that some people are using this attack to further their political views, regardless of what the actual truth may be and with no regard to the victims.

jasjas3008 · 22/12/2024 18:33

Regardless of reported motivations, which basically "hearsay" the Police would be mad to just take on face value tweets etc
They need to look at all his relationships contacts and internet usage, with an open mind, something lacking on this thread!!

More worrying is the reports that the Saudi's told them of his extremism but the German Police didn't act.... lets hope these are incorrect.

This explains English which is an ethnicity here. No idea why this is supposed to be racist. Of course Britain would be a totally different place if it was full of Chinese people or any other ethnicity. We are not US and until 50 years ago England was almost totally white and there was virtually no immigration or emigration, indeed that was the case when I was a child in the 70s.

Cake with all due respect , you are very repetitive & behaving slightly erratically with your questioning. And I repeat I believe Christians were targeted are he attacked a Christmas market.
3000 Christmas markets take place across Germany annually during the 4 weeks of advent prior to Christmas day on which Christians will celebrate the birth of Christ.

Many , many posters have already told you why they "think' this. Your constant questioning won't sway them towards thinking otherwise. It was a direct attack on Christmas, at Christmas time , at a Christmas market. It could not be more obvious.

you are very repetitive
and I repeat

From your link, @Menopausalsourpuss :

A landmark 2022 study titled "The Anglo-Saxon migration and the formation of the early English gene pool", found the English to be of plurality Anglo-Saxon-like ancestry, with heavy native Celtic Briton, and newly confirmed medieval French admixture. Significant regional variation was also observed.[51]

So as far back as the Anglo-Saxons, the English were basically moggies with a diverse genetic and ethnic input. That hasn't changed, has it?

He is anti Muslim. Anti Muslim society like Saudi. He wanted to save women from what he sees as the evil Saudi Muslim country.

How is this so hard for you to grasp?

He attacked the country & citizens who gave him asylum & shelter when he needed it like many before him have attacked the innocent people who offered him asylum. End of .

But do you believe that someone with English ethnicity cannot be other than white?

If they have an English parent then they may say English ancestry. But if you don’t have English blood (as I do not) then you should refrain from calling yourself English and I find in fact most tend to call themselves British in this category

This is sophistry. You can deconstruct literally any ethnicity this way. Are you going to say Japanese aren’t a real identity, that they are just Koreans with a slight Jomon admixture?

Is this really where you want to go with this stuff?

I'm just going to repeat myself for the slow of reading. A country being rich doesn't mean that all its inhabitants are safe, have a rich lifestyle or don't suffer abuse on a governmental level.

Exactly . Like females in UK &other societies are forced to have males infiltrating their safe private spaces like our female only toilets, changing rooms, girls sports teams & prisons. Us female are oppressed by gender recognition acts where we are forced to accept males dominating our female only spaces during to their ideology.

Not in the least, I'm just pointing out that ethnicity is not as simple as a matter of who was born where, and that using it that way is deeply divisive because it leads to delusions of superiority.

You missed the word 'former'

An atheist, he ran a website that aimed to help other former Muslims flee persecution in their Gulf homelands. His social media was full of anti-Islamic sentiment and conspiracy theories.

www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c5y4q4eny2do

It doesn't matter what he was or wasn't.

This man like many others who planned or carried out evil atrocities was seeking asylum in a country but attacked the very country and murdered & maimed hundreds of the civilians who offered him safety & shelter. He is no different from any of the others who savagely attacked those who gave them safety.

At the end of the day all extremism is dangerous.

Whether that is wanting a caliphate or to present Muslims in a way that suggests they are so different to us that they do not possess normal human emotions.

Promoting division and hate leads to death and violence every single time.

Treetops11 · 22/12/2024 19:37

Scirocco · 22/12/2024 15:14

Or just a hate-filled extremist. No insanity needed.

Like all the other hate filled extremists who attack the country & citizens who offer them refuge & a safe abode in their time of need. The exact same as all the others.

My issue with the murderer is not that he was against Islam or against vast, unplanned migration. My issue with the murderer is he killed five people, ruined the lives of hundreds of families for ever, and is part of the horrible process that is making life more scary and worse for millions of Europeans who never asked for, wanted, or needed mass immigration of people from completely different countries and cultures who cost more than they contribute to national economies (as shown by now several studies in Denmark, the Netherlands and Sweden) and have now made English schoolchildren a minority of pupils in school in England.

Best post on here in a nutshell. When you move to a country you must adapt to that countries lifestyle & way of life. You cannot expect a culture to change to accommodate your views.

So you are now saying that you do understand why someone might want to flee a rich, democratic country where most people feel safe because they don't feel safe themselves?

I think he adapted perfectly - the AfD ethos is about as nativist white German as you can get...

And if Nigerians were to complain because foreigners had moved into their country and made them a minority, or if American Indians were to complain that English had moved into the country they loved and owned and took care of and made them a dispossessed, minority with high rates of poverty, addiction, and mental illness, I might actually have some sympathy for them and not just be disgusted with their lack of appreciation for diversity.

Well seeing as you mention Nigeria ,it's worth noting they have banned foreign models from their ads. I agree it's their country ,they are right to hire what they want.. if the UK did this there would be uproar saying the country is racist!

Nigeria is banning foreign actors and models from its ads as of Oct. 1

NPR's Michel Martin speaks with Tolulope Kolade, founder of voiceover talent firm CodedVoiceovers, about Nigeria's decision to ban foreign talent in advertisements beginning next month.

Well, it is dodgy. But given that Nigeria is a former colony, I can also see why they would want to do this. I don't think it's a great idea, I think it may cost them in terms of international contracts, but if they want to do something racist and misguided - well, sovereignty.

It matters when people go on to use his actions to justify their hatred of and prejudice against Muslims. It matters because ordinary people who are Muslim or who are from other minorities experience real life consequences from this.
