Who has this virus? Like a bad cold on steroids

I think this is Day 8 and it's never ending. I usually pick up after day 3 of a head cold but this just seems to be gathering momentum. Sneezing, nose either congested or running like a tap even at 2 am.

I teach and had a rubbish week last week but I think I will have to phone in sick if I'm not feeling better by this time tomorrow.

The cough is driving me mad. Two weeks of coughing and I'm feeling really fed up with it

Definitely on the med but my sense of smell is way off. Most of the time I'm smelling old cigarette smoke when I'm inside - it's really distracting. Has anyone else got this?

Things still don't taste right and I m smelling strange smells too, not cigarette smoke but overwhelming smell of old food and vinegar and diarrhoea when nobody had even used the toilet. It's gross.

I've been smelling odd not nice things as well. I've now got continuous headaches, aching teeth and a sore throat. This truly is the gift that keeps giving ...

Had Eustachian tubes blocked for over a year as informed by ENT but not told how to unblock them.
Drowning in snot and coughing,pain in the chest.Completely no energy, peri has started.
Got vit C/zinc,vit B complex and omega acids.
Got some wicked virus last week along with the yongest DC-temperature 39.3 both of us.

Went to GP for advice as my immune system is shot. I need to be fig for work but I’m catching every thing going,even chicken pox.Got told by GP to get vit D (got it), try to pop my ears several times a day and steam inhalations every day.

Day 6 after the appointment,touch the wood but I think I’m getting better.
Wild cough is subsiding,so is the amount of snot.
Now it’s just shits from omega acids and still knackered as peri needs hrt and fecking cat wakes me up every night a few times.

Onwards and upwards. Merry Christmas 🙂 we will get better but it so shit to be feeling like crap and still having to function 🤦‍♀️

10 days in, still streaming and swollen glands/sinusitis!

Week four and I am finally starting to feel more human but I defo won’t be climbing any mountains for a while… such a shame I will just have to do what the doctor ordered and stay in my pjs and eat choc!

How's everyone doing?

I'm still struggling to shake off the cough and sniffles but overall I feel much better.

@Glitterboobz a bit better. Even managed to clean the house on Hogmanay. Lots of rest and hopefully vitamins are working in strengthening my immune system.
Still snotty,where all this slime is coming from and why is it produced?

Awful to see so many of you still struggling.

I picked up a little over Christmas but I've been totally wiped out. NYE was a disaster after my friend put on such an amazing dinner party only for me to go and have a lie-down at pudding time and then I woke up at 1am, totally wrecked and can't even blame the alcohol.

This virus has taken its toll so much so that I'm considering paying privately for vitamin injections? Can anyone advise??
