Good morning, wishing everyone on here, Regulars and Occasionals, a peaceful Christmas. However you celebrate it, whether it’s a time of joy, faith or contemplation, or just something to get through, good wishes to all 🎄

Efacsen · 24/12/2024 09:01

The same to you too @Saucery and to everyone else

Seasons greetings to all 🙏

itsgettingweird · 24/12/2024 12:27

Merry Christmas to you all 🎄

I hope however you're spending the next few days it's peaceful and happy. 🍹

cardibach · 24/12/2024 12:39

Merry Christmas all! Bit of a weird one here. My (adult) DD is away at her dad’s and I have an old university friend coming tomorrow. Sadly her mum went into a term8nal decline a few days ago, so she’s sort of waiting for the call now. I’m aiming for quietly festive and nurturing. There’s always the possibility she won’t feel up to coming at the last so I may be cooking and eating the lunch all by myself.

BIWI · 24/12/2024 13:21

That's sad @cardibach :(

pointythings · 24/12/2024 13:26

Happy and peaceful Christmas 🎄 to all. Mine is just me and the DC, keeping it low key as DS is changing meds and that always takes a toll. He's not weaning off, he's doing crossover and hoping the new ones will help his intractable depression.

PandoraSox · 24/12/2024 13:31

That is sad@cardibach. I hope your friend does turn up for some nurturing.

Happy Christmas everyone, I hope you all have a lovely, peaceful day.

DuncinToffee · 24/12/2024 13:33

We are visiting MIL but DS stayed home as he is working. First time without him which feels strange. He has a full fridge and freezer at his disposal Grinand is meeting up with friends in the pub.

Somehow our own Christmas shop was a lot smaller this year.

I've just finished work this morning and now I'm off until January. Christmas is a time for ... binge watching Inspector Ricciardi.

grannycake · 24/12/2024 13:45

Have a lovely Christmas everyone. This thread keeps me sane in troubling times so thank you all

Piggywaspushed · 24/12/2024 14:16

For quite a few reasons, I find Christmas time quite tough but I soldier on through .
No alcohol this year. Just post gallbladder anxiety!

Piggywaspushed · 24/12/2024 14:18

TV is looking a bit crap this year , annoyingly!

But will do Home Alone and The Snowman today. Gavin and Stacey tomorrow.

Cheguevarahamster · 24/12/2024 14:57

I hope you all have a peaceful Christmas. 🎄🎅

LittleBowSheep · 24/12/2024 15:17

Thanks. Same to you and everyone else. DH has broken his ankle and is in hospital. Christmas is cancelled. We still have to cook the giant turkey in the fridge

itsgettingweird · 24/12/2024 16:49

Oh no derxa sorry to hear that.

Do you have enough help on the farm whilst he's out of action?

DuncinToffee · 24/12/2024 16:57

Sorry to hear that @derxa , how long is he in for? Guess you will bring him some turkey.

Take care @Piggywaspushed , hope you find something to watch

I am so sorry, @Derxa, I hope he makes a good recovery and that you can have some cheer over New Year's.
