I am meant to be sleeping but my three delightful guinea pigs are trashing the joint! Do they have to tear cardboard with their teeth so loudly? 😁😁 it's a good job that they're cute and I adore them!

So why are YOU up?

I'm at work.

PermanentTemporary · 07/11/2024 02:17

Went to sleep at 9pm after a completely exhausting day and a glass of wine, then head buzzing when I woke. Should be asleep...

EdithStourton · 07/11/2024 02:18

Insomnia.

Berlinlover · 07/11/2024 02:18

I’m in hospital, I had a stoma reversal operation over two weeks ago and am in agony with constipation.

Ouch! Sounds very uncomfortable. I hope you have some relief soon!

11 hours ahead of you! Just went for a little walk in the sunshine to buy some lunch.

But I'm usually awake at 2am too!

SomeSuperhero · 07/11/2024 02:23

@Berlinlover 💐

Insomnia for me. My eye bags have bags. There is a tawny owl that visits the street each night about now, waiting to hear it’s call. One bonus of insomnia was I learnt the call of a tawny owl thanks for Merlin app.

Quacking4it · 07/11/2024 02:28

Too much on my mind 😕

mrssunshinexxx · 07/11/2024 02:30

Feeding my 3 week old baby boy , bliss x

DizzyBumble · 07/11/2024 02:30

I suffer from Afib & have woken with my heart racing & flip flopping about, it’s beginning to calm down so hopefully I will get a bit more sleep

Hillrunning · 07/11/2024 02:31

I'm up with chest pains. I think it is stress related but I'm also not sure when you are supposed to be concerned about chest pain.

My job is horrible and I am so sad about it.

4catsaremylife · 07/11/2024 02:32

Insomnia here also, stress aplenty in life and feeling very low so put home video tapes of my toddler children on (now aged mid 30s) whilst simultaneously chatting with one of the said AC on WhatsApp She's passing time whilst stuck on the tarmac 45 mins in waiting for her plane home from Japan to take off. Odd juxtaposition

VelvetUnderwear · 07/11/2024 02:32

@Hillrunning what does the pain feel like? I'm no expert, but if it is a squeezing, crushing pain, that needs looking at.

Just got up to get 3.45am coach to work. Thinking I should quit this job!

hellywelly3 · 07/11/2024 02:33

Insomnia, it sucks big time.

Helplessandheartbroke · 07/11/2024 02:35

I'm up with ds 4. He doesn't like sleep....

Tarkan · 07/11/2024 02:35

This is my favourite time of day to just chill by myself so as long as I don't need to be up early in the morning I'll often be up late relaxing. I also napped from 3-5 this afternoon which may have helped a bit.

I'm just playing a game (I'm on Observation Duty 7) right now although I might quit for the night soon as my eyes are starting to get tired.

WearyAuldWumman · 07/11/2024 02:35

Widowed nearly 4 yrs ago. I'm doing better than I was but - unfortunately - I have OCD and I'm currently obsessing over a plumbing problem.

Meant to see to it months ago, but it's going to cost a helluva lot to fix and the contractor responsible for the flaw should be seeing to it. I quit interacting with him back back in April - he was being bullying and I was looking at a possible cancer diagnosis.

The supposed two week pathway turned into a 16 wk pathway in our area for post-menopausal bleeding. (I'm in my 60s.) First biopsy came back clear, but scan showed possible problems.

Had a hysteroscopy and more extensive biopsy plus Mirena coil HRT fitted last month, but still waiting for the results.

Currently slurping a bottle of Tia Maria I found in the spare room...Shall get to bed shortly.

Vates · 07/11/2024 02:36

I normally get up really early 3-4 am but the police knocked on my door about an incident that has happened with my upstairs neighbour an hour ago. I am just up for the day now!

I have no idea what has happened as I didn't hear or see anything. I heard some noise from upstairs at 11 that woke me up but that's not out of the ordinary, certainly nothing alarming sounding. I just went back to sleep until they knocked and woke me up.

Star8181 · 07/11/2024 02:38

Keep waking up at 2am at the moment worrying about work…it’s too stressful at the moment. Too much to do, not enough time.

LemonLymanDotCom · 07/11/2024 02:38

I’m on holidays. We’re 5 hours behind the UK so it’s just before bedtime & I’m packing my bags to come home tomorrow

MrsSkylerWhite · 07/11/2024 02:38

Husband’s in hospital for the third time in six weeks. Just can’t sleep.

justcrossorcrosseyed · 07/11/2024 02:40

My insulin pump started beeping at me and needed changing. I’ve sorted it but I suspect I’ll be awake for a while with lots of whizzing thoughts about work.

curiousS · 07/11/2024 02:41

I'm a night owl. Always have been. I love the peaceful of night knowing most people are in bed. I don't have to work until 2pm so no rush in the morning.

LisaJohnsonsFacebookMole · 07/11/2024 02:44

I'm bad at going to bed
