I am so sorry. What terrible cruelty for them and for everyone that loved them.

BIossomtoes · 21/11/2024 17:16

It’s the worst disease I can think of. Watching the person you love disappear breaks your heart.

We’re going to need a new thread in a minute. Any ideas for the title?

Sorry to hear that @SerendipityJane my mum has vascular dementia currently. There have been some awful times but the worst is knowing there's only one direction it goes in.

Oh Jane. And countrygirl and Blossomtoes. And everyone else dealing with such awfulness. 💔

My heart goes out to you all 💐

Mum is undergoing cardiology tests and the consultant said "we don't want you having a heart attack". I couldn't help thinking that isn't that the way everyone would watch to go rather than from alzheimer's.

Something recognising Prescott?
Sorry, the cold makes me stupid. Something about the Rayner/Prescott similarity?

I like that suggestion

cardibach · 21/11/2024 19:06

If only I could actually think of something.

BIossomtoes · 21/11/2024 19:22

How about Starmer: Prescott and Rayner - working class heroes?

From Prescott to Rayner, working class grit ?

I read it somewhere earlier and it stuck in my mind

I'll start a new thread shortly, I am on my phone and it's a pain to do it on there

Oh yes , fellow cockroach. DF went at 82, at home from a heart attack, DM has moderate Alzheimer’s. Who knows where it will go. I know which I’d choose..

Yep. My gran went suddenly, heart attack, age 70 (and looked every year of it after a hard life, much of it spent in that Preston Road area of Hull mentioned in the other thread).

💐 To those who have had painful memories stirred up, today.

Great thread title and taxes, all!
