Priti Patel is shadow Foreign Secretary. 🫣

With her track record Patel is totally unsuitable for office. And it's worth remembering that Stride has a majority of just 61.

Kemi's shadow cabinet so far:

Chancellor - man who wants to abolish the pensions triple lock
Education - woman who doesn't understand percentages
Foreign - woman fired for freelancing policy on Israel

Hope the role goes better for her than when she was actual Foreign Secretary. The embarrassment of everyone except you knowing you were sacked while in a plane in mid air would finish off a lesser mortal….

Shadow chancellor is Mel Stride

Well at least the Tory commitment to recycling has started with their cabinet. Come spring they will probably be ready to put on the lawns.

At least Stride’s worked in the Treasury before.

The Tory talent pool has no depth at all. Trying to find anyone with skill would be a monumental challenge.

What it lacks in depth it more than makes up for in the breadth of criminal offences various MPs have committed.

Steve Barclay will not serve in Kemi Badenoch in the new shadow Cabinet, joining other Tory ‘big beasts’ like Jeremy Hunt, James Cleverly, Sir Oliver Dowden and Andrew Mitchell on the backbenches.

Slightly stretching the definition of Big Beasts there.

Jenrick as shadow justice secretary is nowhere near as funny as Patel as shadow foreign secretary.

Who gives a monkey's? the Tories, for the next 4/5 years are an irrelevance and with any luck wont be one after that either.

I rather liked Laura Trott, she was fantastic in the London Olympics but i thought she had retired? had no idea she was a Tory and knew a lot about education? or am i confused?

The fact they are an irrelevance is what makes it funny rather than awful.
