Just heard on the news abroad he fell from the third floor off a hotel in Buenos Aires, if true it's very sad as he was so young and seemed like a lovely guy

That TMZ article is so low. Gutted for his son.

He couldn't be resuscitated? So he was still partially alive when they found him? Sad

No I don't think it means that at all.

Normallynumb · 16/10/2024 23:09

Really shocked to read this. My DS1 is the same age
Feels wrong to read literally all about it a couple of hours after it happened

For god's sake, there is no need for that.

News breaking "like this" is going to happen more and more frequently. I don't know what can be done to change it as different countries have different laws and we can all find out so easily.

It's terrible news for his family and such a dreadful end to his young life.

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 16/10/2024 23:09

I so hope Cheryl didn't find out from the news, she has their son to think about

Same for the rest of his family

EnfysHeulenEira · 16/10/2024 23:10

@ToBeOrNotToBee no need for that detail. I really hope his family know

SpiggingBelgium · 16/10/2024 23:10

I’m honestly in shock. I’m not some crazy fan who thought she knew him or anything like that, but when you think how young he was when he first did X-Factor, he seems to have been around for so long. So much has happened to him, yet in many ways he’d barely started his life.

It’s not like some random tweeted it from
the hotel. The police have informed the local press who it was within minutes of it happening. When they should have said “no comment.”

God did you have to put that?!

Orangeoranges42 · 16/10/2024 23:12

How incredibly sad. He’d have a mum, dad, siblings, family, son like any other 31 year old can’t imagine their pain.

gone far too soon.

What is TMZ I’m not searching them or want them to have extra clicks. I assume they’re not a British organisation?

AliasGrace47 · 16/10/2024 23:12

Terrible. I didn't like him as he is alleged seems to have behaved abusively to his gfs, but any human life lost is tragic and his family must be suffering horribly, esp his little boy 😢.
Why the hell are TMZ reporting this? When I read Spare I thought the way Princess Diana was photographed after death wouldn't happen now. And it does.. Disgusting.

Comefromaway · 16/10/2024 23:12

I refuse to look up TMZ to give them more clicks.

How tragic

It's an American gossip site

BriceNobeslovesMurielHeslop · 16/10/2024 23:12

I’ve just seen this in Reddit, I thought it was a hoax at first. Poor young man, and his poor family, especially his little boy. I’m quite shaken.

xxSideshowAuntSallyxx · 16/10/2024 23:12

I was half asleep listening to Sky News, then something woke me up.

So sad, poor Bear.

tobee · 16/10/2024 23:13

Agree @Ivehearditbothways. As I say different countries have different laws. Police and press from these countries have different restrictions (or lack of).

SabreIsMyFave · 16/10/2024 23:13

@BriceNobeslovesMurielHeslop I am shaken too. So are my 1D loving DC. Knocked sideways we all are.

MyOtherCarisAVauxhallZafira · 16/10/2024 23:13

He had spoken about his issues. He was in that industry from such a young age, it has such an impact on so many of them. I feel for his family and his son, DS is nearly six and I can't imagine having to break this kind of news to him, let alone have it all over the media.

Redcrayons · 16/10/2024 23:13

This is so shocking.

i hope so much his parents didn’t find out on twitter. TMZ are disgusting.

TokyoSushi · 16/10/2024 23:14

TMZ are an American site, famous for breaking news very quickly (and giving waaaay too much detail) they're disgusting, but they also are usually right.

craftynancy · 16/10/2024 23:14

There's a video on 'X' shared by someone in the hotel showing the patio area where he must have fallen with patio umbrellas covering the scene and people all around.

There are also photos of his apparent hotel room with drugs all over and a smashed TV inside.

Not sure if the hotel ones are legit but if they are he must have been in a very messy state.

So incredibly sad 😓

AtDeathsDoor · 16/10/2024 23:15

His ex-fiancé was taking legal action against him as he was harassing her.

Newsenmum · 16/10/2024 23:15

the ‘erratic behaviour’ is so sad, especially as he’d been there to meet the other 1d boys and was at a naill horan concert 😭 so young and so messed up

SassK · 16/10/2024 23:15

Utterly tragic. RIP Liam.
