Just heard on the news abroad he fell from the third floor off a hotel in Buenos Aires, if true it's very sad as he was so young and seemed like a lovely guy

That is so tragic. I just read about it online, it's all over the news. 31 years old! My goodness, what his family must be going through is unimaginable and he has a seven year old son. Apparently he had been struggling with alcoholism for a long time. Poor, poor soul.

That's why I quoted the reporting rather than the post, no one needs to see it again.

Omg. I hate it when people say stuff like this, but I was honestly thinking he wasn't in a good way mentally for a long time. I saw a pic of him last week and he just didn't look well.
This is absolutely terrible. I'm not a fan of his music but it's an absolute tragedy. RIP.

it reminds me of Marilyn Monroe’s death where her body went missing for hours on the way to the morgue- and then photos were released and pictures taken of her body. There is no dignity in death for celebrities. His poor parents, it’s around a 16 hour flight to Argentina and with the language barrier it’s going to be incredibly tough for them to get things together.

I feel sorry for his ex, people are going after her now saying she should be held responsible. If Liam was an abuser, his death should not change that.

It’s shocking. Liam has been all over my social media feeds this last week. And nothing nice was being said. He was the butt of everyone’s jokes.

So sad, and so young. He has seemed very troubled the last few years when I have seen his posts. I am not excusing his behaviour if he was in fact abusive to his ex, but he has been getting alot of abuse on social media and piss take the last few weeks. This combined with drugs and alcohol, mental etc could have all taken his toll. The trolls will no doubt be out for her next.

Yes another horrific example of desecration and ghoulish profiteering after a tragic death. His poor family, his parents Karen and Geoff and his sisters Nicola and Ruth and his poor seven year old son Bear. Thoughts are with them tonight. and hope they don't need to go through the trauma of flying out to Argentina

So sad. I'm more than twice his age and it's heart breaking that his talent and success didn't give him a long life and happy fatherhood.

His poor ex girlfriend is going to be absolutely hounded now. One Direction fans are nuts, even 10 years after the group split. I hope she’s somewhere safe.

I feel sadder about this than I would have expected… he was such a talented young lad, I remember him on Graham Norton and he just seemed like a happy, cheeky, down to earth lad. He looked like he couldn’t believe his luck when he got with Cheryl. He had the world at his feet at such a young age but his solo career has been so far outshone by Harry and Zayn, and (arguably less talented) Niall… I think post-1D he struggled to find his own musical identity and got a bit lost. I feel so sorry for his family and his poor little boy.

911 call from the hotel manager has been released on X. Sadly looks like he was under the influence and became agitated.
I didn’t really follow him so don’t know much but very sad for his family Cheryl and his son. :(
