It looks like Vinted have turned on the post office as a postage option for sellers. You can’t switch it off though.

I've not sold a bundle for a while but when I last did - it came up for me to select postage again, I.e weigh items then select ... does that not happen anymore?

I have bought and sold a few bits on Vinted and generally have been quite pleased, but it definitely doesn't offer the buyer/seller protection offered by eBay. Have managed to get quite a few bargains though!

I'm tired of of orders getting cancelled because people can't be bothered to go to the post office. If you're actually unable to use post office, deselect it in your options. Not everyone has access to other postal options.

I just received a message from Vinted support about Royal Mail shipping now being integrated etc etc. It made me slightly suspicious so I checked my Settings and they'd switched on Royal Mail as one of my shipping options grrr. The good news is that I was able to switch it off immediately.

Just a heads-up to check your Settings if you're a seller so you don't get any surprise Royal Mail sales.

I've switched it off on my settings - however it does state it includes tracking and insurance up to £150 which it didn't before

Presumably that racks up the postage cost though? If you are only selling a £5 item their std ins should cover it.

It's been turned back on again automatically!!
I have had to manually turn it off just now

pantomanto · 23/10/2024 16:25

I’ve switched mine back off again. I wish they’d leave things alone.
