How old were you when you got married?

NC'd just in case anyone can identify me with previous posts.

I was 20 when I first got married, divorced at 23 and I'm about to get married for the second time at the age of 26. For various reasons, I don't really count my first marriage as a marriage, as we were not husband and wife in any sense of the words, it was a horrific relationship to be in (for me). So I feel like I'm getting married for the first time, even though it's not technically true. How old were you when you got married?

Me 26, him 34. He was a cheating Peter Pan, so… never more!

I’ve only once before considered remarriage and am still not sure if I would again.

(And not to that twit obviously!).

26, we’d been together since late teens and had a young DC. Now early 40’s and still happily married.

We were both 24. 30 years this year and still going strong!

DS (22) said to dh this week "you were lucky, you struck gold at uni!". I felt rather flattered!

31. I'm still married at 52.

I was 29, he was 28. Still married 21 years later.

I'm getting married this year. I'm 43. Been with OH 13 years so a bit late to the idea but hey.

19, still together aged 42

Married at 20 divorced at 30
married at 40 divorced at 50
Never again.

We were both 22. Still married 20 yrs later

27 years and 361 days. He is a year older. We have just celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary. I was the last of my group of friends to marry. We were engaged within a fortnight of meeting and married10 months later, it would have been much earlier but the venue was fully booked until then.

I was 26 first time I got married, had been together since I was 22.

Divorced at 47. Remarried at (almost) 51.

25. Still married and about to celebrate our 15yr anniversary.

I'm nearly 49 & thinking about doing it when I grow up.

44 and then widowed 8 days later.. at 44

I was 18, DH was 19, we got married the day after my 18th Birthday, still married, early 41 years.

I'm sorry for your loss

24 and 31. Still married, 46 years this year

Married at 35 and divorced 17 years later. Lots of serious and less-serious relationships before and one very serious relationship after.

I was six months to the day after my 18th birthday when I got married to my ex, who was them 24. We were married for 43 years until we were divorced in January 2017. Had we still been married at Christmas 2023 , it would have been our Golden Wedding anniversary , 50 years,

Met my husband at 18, we married when we were 21 years old. We are still together 16 years later with 5 children

21 in 1977 divorced in 2020.

52! Married 5
