How old were you when you got married?

NC'd just in case anyone can identify me with previous posts.

I was 20 when I first got married, divorced at 23 and I'm about to get married for the second time at the age of 26. For various reasons, I don't really count my first marriage as a marriage, as we were not husband and wife in any sense of the words, it was a horrific relationship to be in (for me). So I feel like I'm getting married for the first time, even though it's not technically true. How old were you when you got married?

23, straight out of uni after 4.5 years of being engaged. I was the first of anybody I knew to get married, my friends all got married about 8-10 years later when I already had two kids. Still married 23 years later. Just realised that means I've been married half my life!

I was 20, H was 24. Still married 37 years later.

44 years young, had offers before but wasn't up to standard

29. DH was 37. 23rd wedding anniversary in a couple of weeks.

Wow this has just freaked me out. I was married at 22, met my DH the week before I turned 17.

We have been married 27 years 🤯

25 (engaged at 23 - is be horrified if mine were!) having been together 6 years. Still married at 51.

23 - first marriage
25 - ex-husband passed away
27 - second marriage. Married for 8 years now!

22, after being together nearly 3 years. It's our 20th wedding anniversary this week.

Started dating when I was still in High School. Got married at 24. Still together now almost 20 years later.

24yo. Still married 19yrs later.

I had turned 27 the day before, he was 26. Been married 34 years.

26, we had been together for 9 years at that point and have been married for 12 now.

23 in 1994, still together. DC1 has just married aged 28. I think that is young by today's standards. However, they have been together almost 13 years. They bought a home together aged 23, both have settled careers and are hoping to start a family soon. I'd be wary of rushing into a second marriage so young.

24..we are still married and I'm 32 atm

28 but had been together 10 years by that point. Grew up together and now growing old together too.

21. About to celebrate our 29th anniversary.

We were both 23, been together since we were 17. In hindsight we were too young, we are still together 36 years later, but I wish we had both played the field a bit more before we got together.

19 - divorced 10 years later.
Married again in 1984 aged 33 still married.

22 married for 35 yrs this year

Met at 19, married at 24 and still very happily together at 35!

42 after a looong engagement

Got together when we were both 21, lived together for 12 years, married at 35 when pg with ds(20).

I was 24, he was 33 and we've been married now 26 years.

Just 25. I always say I was a child bride.😉

Will probably do it before retirement for inheritance tax reasons, so I suspect around 60. Would not consider it before then as we’ve only been together 24 years.
