I had my first Labour one and 2 reform ones yesterday.

Had 2 LD ones a few days apart last week and ds had one personally addressed to him from the Tory's.

I've had nothing from the Tory's but I imagine my past (ignored) emails to a Braverman would indicate I'd not vote for her if she was the only only candidate 😂

HauntedPollingBooth · 29/06/2024 09:15

So far I've had:

  1. 1 fat Tory leaflet personally addressed to middle DS (who will be voting where he lives in Reading, not here)
  2. 3 more standard Tory leaflets, one endorsed by colonel Tim Collins, describing Nick Timothy as 'the patriotic choice' Envy
  3. 1 rag from Reform
  4. 1 Lib Dem
  5. 2 Labour (the candidate most likely to GTTO)
  6. 2 independent (one a local MH worker with some good ideas, the other a Christian fundie nutjob)
SerendipityJane · 29/06/2024 09:19

We've had 1 Reform. 2 Labour and one independent leaflets. But with every poll and the poll of polls posted in the last thread showing a guaranteed Labour win, you can understand the rationing of resources by other parties.

Thank you. Not long to go buy feels like aaaages.

I'm sitting here hoping DS1 has sprained not broken his ankle.

Fingers crossed for you

Carpal tunnel is awful, look after yourself!

grannycake · 29/06/2024 09:27

LD leaflet just before election called but nothing since
Independent leaflet this week
Nothing from the conservative candidate
Delivered my own labour leaflet as I have been out delivering in our village

prettybird · 29/06/2024 09:35

I've got leaflets to deliver but can only do them in small batches as I can't leave dh for long. Will try to get them completed over the weekend.

itsgettingweird · 29/06/2024 09:37

How's ds this morning piggy?

Champagnesocialismo · 29/06/2024 09:40

It is a rather fabulous day out there!

the poster formerly known as bombastix

ZonderRishi · 29/06/2024 09:40

Is your DH ok @prettybird ?

Did our last batch of leaflets last night. Persuaded DH to do our reform voting neighbour with a ring doorbell 😂

TaraTories · 29/06/2024 09:44

It's going to be a hot one! We have frozen doggy ice cream treats being tested 🐾 and approved.

Glad the thread has calmed down a bit! Would try to have a go with the name thingy but can’t think of one atm. Cat is busy decimating observing the wildlife so here’s a pose from my two replacements for the previous two who succumbed to old age (I like to think, anyway).

My brain is going to something along the lines of ‘fishi rishi’ for a new name, but I will resist!

Thinking of fishi made me think of

🎶Who shall have a Rishi on a little dishy, who shall have a Rishi when the vote comes in?🎶

I am so old. But a few of you will remember the TV programme?

ZonderRishi · 29/06/2024 09:53

I am pretty sure that always happens. The leader of the losing party generally takes the hit and steps down.

Corbyn didn’t.

Weirdly, the posted Labour stuff is only addressed to DS and me, DH gets the Conservative mail shots. Not sure how he ended up on a different list from the rest of us, he's the leftest leaning of a fairly lefty household.

BIossomtoes · 29/06/2024 10:09

Corbyn didn’t.

I wish Ed Milliband hadn't.

grannycake · 29/06/2024 10:14

In our constituency the posted leaflets went out to postal voters (to ensure they got the info before returning their vote) and to first time voters. Everywhere else has been hand delivered by an army of volunteers.
