Thanks for another new thread. These are moving really quick as we are getting to the big day.
I have been to my local hustings and watched the live streams of ones I couldn't get to.
I am really hoping for real change here. I am supporting my independent candidate. My thinking is I am getting ( I hope ) a Labour government so I would also like a great MP too. Sadly the Labour candidate here doesn't inspire me.

I love the fact that they initially had five swearing parrots, so they put them in with 90 clean-spoken parrots in the hope that the foul-mouthed ones would pick up naicer ways. You can guess how that went.

So they've had to cancel the Clacton hustings because Fartage refused to turn up...

I hope that has a big impact on anyone planning to vote for him and they realise what he is really like.

If he can't turn up for hustings he's hardly going to do much for the constituency as MP.

Did he give a reason for not turning up to hustings?

I assume it's linked to his comments about Ukraine and support for a 'peace deal'.

He doesn’t care about hustings because he’s all about TikTok. Hustings are also scrutiny that he would rather avoid.

LBC have Jimly Dimly on, going on about the hordes of migrants playing poker on the shores of Calais whilst waiting for Labour to win the GE. It is disgusting.

(I made the poker bit up, but it fits with the picture he is trying to paint).

Ch4’s attempt at satire, I assume. She’s made a holy show of herself on Ch4 News often enough, they will have her there for the comedy value (and provide a well stocked Green Room to ensure that).

I don’t think I can bear Dorries either, it’s a shame as their team looked so good ☹️

Perhaps someone at C4 has got a bet on how long it takes Dorries to leave the studio in a huff. I must say, I'm rather tempted to watch, the prospect of her and Alastair Campbell going head to head sounds rather entertaining: her plan will be to claim that it's all Sunk's fault, but Campbell will never let her get away with that. I suspect she'll need a lot of Dutch courage beforehand even to get herself onto the premises.

Heard Dorries on the radio yesterday complaining about Tories scrounging for preferment and honours. Self-knowledge is a wonderful thing.

I will definitely be watching C4. Bet she pulls out of it. There again, she's not renowned for being sensible so let's see.
