I think part of the problem Starmer has is he looks worried every time Sunak points at him and says "Starmer will XYZ" he looks to the host and goldfishes a bit rather than rolling his eyes or being obviously petulant - which is simply not what we've been used to after 14yrs of Am Dram Tories. He doesn't over-react but almost doesn't react at all (legal background but comes across badly/worried I feel).
