He's very sorry and also getting very tetchy when being questioned on pretty much anything.

DeadButDelicious · 10/06/2024 20:13

Me!

Like a tetchy deer in the headlights.

Is that the ever so important interview recorded last Wednesday?

BIossomtoes · 10/06/2024 20:22

He’s seething. 😂

DeadButDelicious · 10/06/2024 20:24

That one's ITV and coming out on Wednesday I think. This is the BBC with Nick Robinson who is giving him a right duffing up.

DeadButDelicious · 10/06/2024 20:26

He's a really angry man isn't he? He was nervous and apologetic to begin with but he's just plain pissed off now. Someone is not used to being questioned!

DeadButDelicious · 10/06/2024 20:32

Well I think it's safe to say that that went quite badly. 😂😂

IClaudine · 10/06/2024 20:50

Ooh, have just got home. Off to iplayer to catch up!

L1ttledrummergirl · 10/06/2024 20:56

We are watching it after bakeoff the professionals.

SerendipityJane · 10/06/2024 20:57

The discussion around Britain remaining neutral or signing a treaty with Hitler is a good counter factual subject for discussion. However it needs to be read into a context I suspect Mr Gribbin hasn't bothered reading about.

newnamethanks · 10/06/2024 21:13

Mrs Braverman, Reform enthusiast, should consider that Mr Gribbin, prospective Reform candidate supported by Farage, would be one of the first to object to her presence in the party, on several grounds. I often wonder if all the synapses are functioning correctly? Distinct lack of clarity of thought. Bewildering.

Sorry, wasn’t referring to your post at the top of the picture but the labour ad underneath it.

Ah.
I use a phone, so I don't see the full page.
No worries.

Evenstar · 10/06/2024 21:21

Didn’t watch it as I was busy in the kitchen, judging by the comments and clips on Twitter it was a complete car crash

Totally off topic but I just opened door to delivery person and I can smell chimney smoke. In June. SW London. This is a comment on the 💨🥶 weather rather than anything wider 😀

Freezing in the midlands too 😫

Yes I think Patel stands a chance.

I'm not suggesting it's nailed on. Mordaunt, Patel, Cleverly and Badenoch all poll consistently well with Conservative members.

As you say it will depend on which MPs succeed in July. I have sort of assumed Braverman will be flushed out early doors and then will horse trade for position using her group of supporters as leverage - and I think she'd rather work with Patel as they are both willing to bring Farage in.

I've been saying it since November - they are going to parachute caneron in.

What other earthly reason was there to enable him?

Samcam has been featured in news spreads recently, too 👀

user8800 · 10/06/2024 21:25

Bloody hell!

cameron

enoble

TokyoSushi · 10/06/2024 21:26

I've not watched (was out) is it worth catching up?

Do you think Cameron in before the election @user8800 ?

L1ttledrummergirl · 10/06/2024 21:39

Ge was tetchy, insisted he was right over the £2000 which now includes some put together by the independent treasury officials, some by Labour Confused and some by government officials. He missed the irony in that he's now contradicted his lie with what might be the truth, but the admittance that the figures are effectively bollocks, and confirmation that he knew he was lying didn't do him any favours.

He was tetchy and argumentative and at points I thought it's a bloody good job looks can't kill.

NHS waiting lists are because the public service are not being productive and the junior doctors keep striking for fair pay, but he thinks hard work should be rewarded (so clearly doesn't think they work hard enough).

Immigration is coming down, no mention of asylum seekers, it was all illegal immigrants.

He's basically done a half hour interview, telling the nation that he lies. Twat.

IClaudine · 10/06/2024 21:48

Absolutely!

He was really stupid to double down on the £2k lie. He didn't even acknowledge that it is over four years not one.

I kept getting distracted by the fact Nick Robinson hadn't bothered to shave. Was that deliberate or does he always look like that these days?

TooBigForMyBoots · 10/06/2024 21:58

Ooh tetchy Robo Sunak talking shite.

BIossomtoes · 10/06/2024 21:58

I thought Nick Robinson looked really rough. His questioning was en point though. Watching Sunak petulant and squirming made my day.

Scruffily · 10/06/2024 22:07

Sunak's consistently run scared of the tougher interviewers virtually ever since he was appointed. I bet he hated having to subject himself to that interview knowing he was vulnerable after D day and knowing he was going to have his lies explored forensically in the spotlight.

I would have said no last week.
Now? Not sure...

It's why he prefers the tv style 'debates' - there isn't time to explore a point, it's all soundbites.

And, of course, in a 1/1 interview he can’t shout down the other guy. There’s nowhere to hide.

Exactly.
