If you have a play with the map, there are a lot of seats that are "toss ups" 😬 though guess the importance is who they are between, but suspect most will be Tory v Labour?

https://yougov.co.uk/elections/uk/2024

ETA: the map doesn't seem to have any Tory seat as safe! That can't be right?

Edited

My former North Cornwall, would be Con vs LD, my current, SE Cornwall is Con vs Lab.

Incredible SE Cornwall is up for debate, Murray seemingly is very unpopular but too many people like my in-laws who will keep voting blue regardless.

12 out of 26 Cabinet Ministers predicted to lose their seats

Only 12!!!! Grin

Evenstar · 03/06/2024 17:23

Shapps rang Sam Coates while he was live on Sky and then hung up on him when he asked about the prediction he would lose his seat 🤣 https://x.com/joannatees/status/1797664239777132644?s=61&t=xKCXjKa1-S6Ks0nSd_LXGg

tobee · 03/06/2024 17:25

Presumably Mr Farage has been offered a nice chunk of cash to take over as leader.

KB’s performance on the media round has made my day.

Mine too. It’s exceeded my wildest dreams. Presumably the reason they’ve all but decriminalised rape is because it’s trivial. Fuckers.

Eve · 03/06/2024 18:16

This is the argument local Tory MP is making - it’s ignore nationally and vote locally.

as you know I don't necessarily disagree with your sentiment about our party. The question though is were you to vote for different local representatives would they be as attentive and responsive? Things are almost certain to change nationally, would you want them to change locally too?

BIossomtoes · 03/06/2024 18:18

Local elections are the time to vote locally. This is the time to get rid of this government.

My constituency is a toss up according to that poll so labour it is

DuncinToffee · 03/06/2024 18:58

Mine states 'lean Cons' but as it is a new constituency it will be difficult to predict. I think Lib Dems are in with a chance.

In other news, Tory chairman Richard Holden still hasn't found a seat. It's all going well for Rishi today.😀

LlynTegid · 03/06/2024 19:02

Grant Shapps losing his seat would be very satisfying, much more so that Jeremy Hunt in my opinion. Liz Truss is less likely but even better if that happens.

Still thinking that the prediction means a reality of over 200 seats for the Tories, given who votes and those who will just not bother if it is a wet or coldish day.

Piggywaspushed · 03/06/2024 19:04

WTAF was that election broadcast?

Tories terrifying us again?

It had the tone of the AIDS ad.

'Same old Labour' sealed my vote. For Labour.

L1ttledrummergirl · 03/06/2024 19:06

Fucking hell, the party political broadcast by the conservatives on BBC right now. Pmsl

I think it's a spoof, it's so awful, it can't be genuine.if it is, omg, clowns is right. What a crock of shit!

Piggywaspushed · 03/06/2024 19:11

We were watching C4 news where Krishnan Guru-Murthy pointed out to Farage that he is a sort of dictator as he owns Reform and can do whatever he wants

He's definitely a better speaker than Tice, but whether people like what he has to say...

Oh absolutely. I don't agree one iota with his politics or ideology but I can't deny he explains what he thinks and why and what he thinks we should do to change that very clearly and concisely.

It's annoying really 🤣

pointythings · 03/06/2024 19:28

My constituency is showing as Labour - toss-up. Which is quite something considering how blue it normally is. I can see Bury St Edmunds going Labour, but West Suffolk?

Piggywaspushed · 03/06/2024 19:37

It looks like a buoyed Reform vote might just hand Labour a victory again in ex Nad Land.

L1ttledrummergirl · 03/06/2024 19:39

I think it was the way the list started:

Pandemic
War in Europe and the Middle East
A reckless dictator in Russia
China

All said in some kind of dramatic voice over, with pictures of Sunak looking purposeful.

The poor attempt to discredit Labour, choosing pictures of them looking fierce.

But Jeremy Corbyn.

I couldn't help but laugh at it.

Piggywaspushed · 03/06/2024 19:40

Once in a lifetime pandemic.

If we're lucky.
