Have they changed the ingredients...Sure deodorant doesn't seem to be cutting the mustard....

Not just me then. I have used the Sure Max in the box at £5 a pop and it did work. Now I have break through whiff and it never seems to dry and leaves white streaks on clothes. I have no idea what to try next. Since meno, no spray or normal roll-on has cut it, and my skin is too sensitive for driclor or similar.

Deodrant is not the same as anti perspirant. Antiperspirant tend to also have deodorants in their makeup whereas deodrants are not also antiperspirant.
Deodrants just help with keeping the bacteria from causing a smell whereas antiperspirant block the pores and help stop sweating.
Have noticed a few on this thread could do with knowing this.
Also i use Wild deodrant and the vanilla and coconut is my every day. The secret is to rub it into the underarm skin with your fingers, i use the cotton and sea salt as it has a stronger scent if i know I'm going to be sweating more.
There is some white marks on clothes but they come out in the wash easily.
I didn't fancy deliberately using antiperspirant anymore as most do have aluminum which has been linked to breast cancer cases.

I used Vaseline roll on for years, swore by it, and then it disappeared. I don’t like sprays, I seem to end up with white powder everywhere.
Switched to Sanex but noticed last year it wasn’t working. Checked and it was deodorant not anti perspirant. But I was sure it was antiperspirant originally?!!
I’ve switched to their anti perspirant version. It’s better but I carry a spare in my bag all year round, not just in summer.

It's meant to be used at night if you haven't tried that
Sometimes I use it at night then a spray in the morning

Have any of Lume tried any of the Lume’ products?
i have been using their shower gel and sometimes their bar soap. Both are AMAZING!!
Pits, crotch…totally under control. My 82-year-old sister loves the whole-body deodorant cream, after bathing with body wipes.
I have been a Mitchum user, and it’s fine, but cranked up to a whole new level once I started showering with Lume’.
It may be pricier, but can we put a price on absolutely NOT STINKING?!

Pmoonreid · 21/05/2024 01:32

Above post should have read, “Have any of YOU…”not “Have any of Lume’..,”
Sorry, I failed to proofread.”

I'm so relieved to find this thread, I thought it was just me! I switched from sanex to mitchum a few months ago, but even my mitchum roll on topped up with spray is letting me down on hot days

suki1964 · 21/05/2024 07:42

I noticed this a good while back, when the Sure Max ( the one in the box ) came on the market, suddenly the normal Sure stopped working so I switched to Max . As a chef at the time ,going through the menopause, I needed all the help I could get - esp during the summer. I found an old stick of sure in my holiday stuff and that still worked a dream

Now post menopause I can get away with not wearing anything but have the Sure stick for days I do work, it works for me now

However if anyone can recommend anything for my face? Seems now any sweating Im going to do is from my cheeks and forehead - I look a hot sweaty mess

Synergies · 21/05/2024 07:48

The only thing that works for me nowadays is Gillette gel deodorant for men!

Sandalwoodrose · 21/05/2024 10:42

I double up with a heavy duty roll on and then go over the same area with a long protection spray. I also apply quite a bit down from armpits, as the bra strap area on the sides can smell.

Sometimes I switch to mens deodorants because I feel they work harder?! Not sure if that's my imagination though.

Stressybetty · 24/05/2024 19:10

I got the perspirex comfort last summer which was really good. Rest of year I use the new sure one in a box

TheTruthWillSetYouFreeMaybe · 24/05/2024 19:20

And there was I thinking it was just me ! Used to use Sure, moved to Sannex, Mitchum, Dove and now back to Sure. Use bar soap (always have a good scrub!). But later in day would stick a finger under my armpit and think ‘WTH’. Started to panic in case everyone thinks I am skanky. Might try the Sure max or even an unscented mens antiperspirant . What’s going on ?

Whyoohwhyohwhyyyy · 08/08/2024 16:57

I remembered this thread from a few weeks ago and just popping back to recommend fussy deodorant! I can't quite believe a natural deodorant is better than Mitchum but its amazing!

Coleyforever8701 · 18/10/2024 17:20

Iv noticed they dont last a week! All big companys are makin there products not to last aslong now! So you have to keep buying. Like roll ons. Babywipes. Razorblades etc. There all designed to not last. Its an absoloute joke how there getin away with it.

Sandwichgen · 18/10/2024 17:34

i’m sure the size of the Sure roll-on has halved
