Welcome, @SwordToFlamethrower, and thanks for sharing your car cleaning news. I took mine through the car wash last weekend. It was covered in road salt from the last two snow storms we've had here. I could take the vacuum cleaner into the garage and do the interior, but it's really cold in the garage, and I can't be arsed.

I've just spent 30 minutes on the stationary bike, done some strength training, and am taking a break. I'll get back on for another 15 minutes, then take a shower and have some breakfast.

I have all of my weekend shopping to do today, so church will have to wait until next weekend.

Glad you are home safe, Miss. I always try to get laundry in when I get home, too. I hate putting it off. Impressed you're up and exercising already, too!

I have a wand vacuum that I use for vacuuming car and small jobs other wise.
I've sort of watched Sesame Street with Havoc lately. I think the old episodes are much better. 🤔
Havoc has now discovered Paddington and loves the opening theme song. I had no idea he was from Peru. 🤷‍♀️

Well I was shocked this morning. I've been married for nearly 36 years and this morning I discovered- my husband doesn't wet his toothbrush before putting the toothpaste on and cleaning his teeth! I'm almost tempted to start an AIBU thread ( but I won't because I'm a wuss😁)

I'm back from DSs wedding

Fab weekend- am knackered!

IWanderedlonely** my dentist always tells me NOT to wet my toothbrush before brushing (but I always do).
Spent this morning watching DS2 play rugby. His team are low on numbers but such lovely boys, and joined up with another team low on numbers to play against a local side. A good game was had by all and DS2 played the whole game despite having tonsillitis all this week (he's been ok and in school though). DS1 has been working on his Welsh Bac community project on food poverty.
Went out for a carvery this afternoon. Had roast beef.

Took DD to a local farm park today. It was fun we joined the membership so can go as little or as often as we want. Saw lovely baby rabbits.

In other news ended up in a traveler park by accident which was a little scary - it was foggy and we took a wrong turn.

More of the IKEA cabinet for DS has been done, now up to set 49 of 60. Had more homemade veg soup and then shortbread and lunch just had brie and apple. DH got more brie as DS had eaten all the brie, I knew teenage boys had hollow legs but hadn't anticipated lactose intolerant asd DS who has never eaten brie before finishing the brie. 🤔Good he's trying new foods though. Rather dismal weather here. Chickens were cleaned out. DD met up with her boyfriend after he's been skiing for a week with his family.

I have just caught up on this new thread 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️!!

I kept checking the old one !!

Anyhow ....I now have you all saved on my watch list 😅..

I say caught up ....I have read it all ....but now can't remember what I have read !

Only 3 things have stuck...in no particular order...

Penguinsa .....if you cook the potatoes with the veg for your soup ....does it not make the water starchy ?

Havoc ....I have only locked my keys in the car not the children.....
However ....I have locked 2 very young DC's in the flat once when the door shut behind me 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️😭😭!!

That was a very scary panic inducing moment that still gives me a sick feeling when I think about it !!

It's been tiring but a genuinely lovely time

Lots of nice touches - like a basket of flip flops by the dance floor, Toiletries in the bathrooms, fun glow sticks and so on

Food was very nice, plenty of wine on the table 😄

DSs speech made me cry - referencing my BF who died 5 years ago, which also meant a lot to her DH and DS. And how he'd not have achieved what he had without me giving him his work ethic and moral compass, that kind of thing. So I had a little sniffle. Bastard!

Bizzey, I'm wondering if the door locks with a key inside and outside there? It was like that in a unit I was in while in Australia. Boyfriend locked me in unit all day while he was at work and had both sets of keys. Luckily I didn't need to go anywhere that day. He was quite contrite when he got home and realized what he'd done! Seems a really unsafe system, though!

Doesn't taste starchy Bizzey just taste the cream really but not entirely sure how DH makes it.

DH says he has a friend dropping things off at 7am who will come for a quick chat and coffee.

Funny, I only like Brie or Camenbert when they are cooked. I particularly like the breaded triangles you get with the cranberry sauce. Yum. That was often a treat at Christmas!

penguinsa great news about DS' interest in food and willingness to try new flavours and textures.

I got a lot of chores done over the weekend. The interior of my car needs a thorough going over though, so I'll take it to the car wash vacuums when I get a little time. I had it washed last week, including the underneath because of the road salt - hot wax treatment all over, plus tyre cleaning and spraying with a protective coating.

Our weather outlook is for much warmer than usual spring-like temps for the foreseeable, so I don't think I'll have to worry about more salt. I'm also going to put away the snowboots.

I had an admin day today .
I have booked a night away for me and mam.

Lots of reasons for it ...but the main one is ....she is going to be getting a new bathroom soon.

A wet room type of bathroom.

So , I thought I would take her away to try them out in a hotel to get use to it and know what works for her ....and what doesn't for when they come round to assess/measure the bathroom and ask for our input !

So ...we are off to ds1 ' s little city ...
See him , his new flat and go shopping the next day in the massshooovive shopping center !

She will have her little walker by then so it will make it easier getting around the centre.

And I can hire a wheelchair on a very cheep daily rate if it all gets too much !

She has been getting a bit low about all these adaptations she needs for her home ....so hopefully this will give her a lift .

And we have a good mother and daughter relationship...in that ....a bottle of wine will be brought into the room with us to have a giggle while we get ready to go out that evening..😁😁😅😍!

The lightweight girls who couldn't cope in heels all day and eve, like us hardcore ones!
