Who is your favourite Gladiator?

We've been watching this every week with the kids and have been pleasantly surprised that it's something that we're all really enjoying, even our hard to drag away from his computer teen boy sits down willingly.

Our family favourite is definitely Legend, he's hilarious and we all hope that when he's competing that he'll be interviewed at the end. Loved the bit where he complained about the lights being in his eyes when he failed on the Wall.

From the women it's a toss-up between Sabre and Fury. Oh to have the confidence of Sabre! And Fury is just awesome and so fierce.

I do agree with you on Viper.. As commented by many he lacks the physical build and prowess as most of the other male gladiators and his attempt to copy the Wolf are pathetic..A view shared by many. Totally agree that Wolf was a far better Gladiator as was Goliath from the Sky series who used to growl at the guy after he'd knocked/taken him down.. At least he was convincing doing it....possibly in part because he was so huge! lol :)!

Awww I like Viper, i think if he's in S2 they really need to send him to proper wrestling school to learn to play the Heel, i think hes fun for kids.

Reminds me of my youngest the angry huffy face twitching etc when I take her phone off her on school night bed times! lol :)

I’m really appreciating Bionic after the final…he’s HUGE and seemingly very lovely…what a combo 😁. The scene where he was standing next to Legend…now that Legend is a big guy but he was dwarfed by Bionic. Even Giant looked wee in comparison!
What a brilliant season. Family TV at its absolute best. I’m sad to see it finish too but delighted there will be a second season.

Well done to Marie-Louise and Finlay, worthy winners of a brilliant series.

Being a Scot, was delighted to see Finlay win. Lovely Edinburgh accent.

Was gutted for Brontë, she was amazing. ML annoyed me with her fake smile, perma tan and that Worm on the floor act - naff!

I would have liked to see Bronte win too.
Wes had a shocker, face planted off the balance bar.

I was behind Brontë and Wes as well but all the contenders were great. It’s a shame Chung didn’t get through to the final because I think if he hadn’t been injured that he would have been favourite odds to win.

I’m glad it will be back for another series.

We were gutted when Chung got injured, we thought he was going to win it! 😔

Bionic making Legend look small.

Bionic and Giant are massive @noblegiraffe ....The likes of Legend and Viper are far smaller in stature. I'm defo a fan of seeing the big massive hunks even if they don't have the personality and humour as Legend does. Hope they deliver on the idea of Christmas celeb episodes, don't want to wait another year to see those big he men in shiny lycra cozzies again! lol :).

Agree, I thought both Bronte and wrestler Wes would win.. Still it was exciting. Can't wait for the new series..:)

I'd love to see the injured contestants especially Chung get a chance to come back and have a go, even if just in a one-off "special" rather than series 2.

It's amusing to think of Legend as a smaller chap . He's 6 ft 1 so in real life must look huge. It's on my bucket list to stand next to Bionic. I once stood next to West Indian fast bowlers and felt ridiculous.

I think Bradley works well as a presenter because he is quite slight. It adds a bit to the warmth and humour. Fash was quite big himself and utterly devoid of a funny bone.

I get your point. There should at least have at least one female presenter imo. This is the first ever gladiators series to be presented by two males..Which I find a little strange imo lol :)

My claim to fame is that 20 odd years soo I worked with Nitro’s father. However, I didn’t know him well, haven’t seen him for 20 years and wouldn’t recognise him if I saw him again, so no point asking me to get Nitro’s autograph for you!

Lol..I've an indirect claim in that my friend was working on the night reception at a well known Birmingham hotel when Ulrika Johnson booked a room and Rhino (one of the later glads) visited her for the night! Not the glad Hunter that she had the affair with when she was married)..But still worthy of gossip! lol.. Both of us had been at the NIA watching it live! Anyway was his Dad a looker in the day like Nitro himself.. Lordy that smile and those rather nice big bouncing pecs! lol :)
