Who is your favourite Gladiator?

We've been watching this every week with the kids and have been pleasantly surprised that it's something that we're all really enjoying, even our hard to drag away from his computer teen boy sits down willingly.

Our family favourite is definitely Legend, he's hilarious and we all hope that when he's competing that he'll be interviewed at the end. Loved the bit where he complained about the lights being in his eyes when he failed on the Wall.

From the women it's a toss-up between Sabre and Fury. Oh to have the confidence of Sabre! And Fury is just awesome and so fierce.

Steel and Fury for me. I like that they're decent to the contestants, and of course their amazing physical prowess.

100% Nitro and Phantom.
They came out one week and did a dance intro together omg....loved it!
Also Sabre and Fury so much energy.

We love the show in our house. So nice to have family viewing each week.

I hope people know Viper is playing a part (as they all are really) I feel sorry for him really as they've made him such a villan!

I love Nitro’s cheeky smile, he seems like a cute bouncy puppy.

Steel is kind.

Legend is hilarious, he’s known as Leg End in our house but we love him. I follow him on IG and he’s so funny and nothing like his screen persona.

DP fancies Sabre, I don’t really have a favourite female. They’re all incredibly fit but seem a bit bland.

@noblegiraffe we suggested a drinking game too - we’d be blotto by the end 🤣

I love Gladiators - all round family entertainment, and a really good way of promoting strength and fitness. I’m glad they’ve had a couple of older contestants too.

I'm so sad that in the original show I was too young and now I'm too old. :(

Matt Morsia aka Legend is a favourite because long before he was on Gladiators I followed his youtube channel Mattdoesfitness and he is quite funny/clearly plays it for laughs.

I really like Athena for the females - probably because I envy her physique.

We are way behind but Steel and Nitro seem nice! I’m not sure why but I can’t tell the difference between the women yet, will have to watch a few more

I went to school with giant, he's a really nice, genuine guy.

I like the new ones but the best can only ever be Wolf.

Nitro or Phantom! My 4 year old loves viper.

Viper must have a headache after filming with all that gurning! 😬

Nitro looks like such good fun, Phantom and Giant are so nice to the contestants and Steel is hot...!

For the women, I like Diamond (especially after reading about she was bullied at school) and Fury is lovely.

To be honest, the Gladiators are all nice in this new series. I don't remember the hugs and fist bumps with the contestants in the 90s!

Legend, Nitro (he's called harry in real life and is the most harryish person I've ever seen), Apollo & Giant are my favourites by far for the men.

Love Fury, Dynamite and Sabre for the women.

We've been watching it religiously since it started, we've even all bought foam fingers.

That intro together was fab! Really made us smile!

It was a brilliant contest tonight - both eliminators were so close! Giant and Fury are my favourites, but I like all of them to be honest. It's a great show

We love Nitro, watch a lot of athletics and he comes across just as likeable when he's competing too! I remember years ago he'd won a medal and in his interview the first thing he said was that it was for his sister as he was missing her birthday party to race

For the men, I love Nitro and Giant. Both gents. Steel too.

For the women, Fire is my favourite. I also really like Sabre, BUT WHY CAN SHE NOT STAND STILL 🤯 The perpetual motion almost makes me seasick. Does she need a pee all the time?

My son calls Giant the "Squirrel Monkey"!

The female characters are not as feminine as the original series.

Also I hate all the tattoos on both contenders and gladiators.

I like the dude with the hood.

I was reading about the gladiators' backgrounds and basically most of the men are bodybuilders and the women are cross-fit champions.
