Has anyone else seen this horrible news story? Apparently 9 people have been injured, looks like the original targets were a woman and two children.

What is WRONG with people?!

What kind of monster inflicts this to his own kids? What a fuck up thing to do.

For the people saying it is men. Yes, it is men mainly but in many cases is from cultures where women worth nothing. Let’s not sugarcoated. It is not racist to say it is a fact. It needs attention and pronto.

Is is unlikely to be related to his actions, his race and culture?

I would have thought it makes it more likely to be an honor attack (hate that phrase), he's from afghanistan.

As someone who has experienced dv, the minute I heard this I knew what it was. Absolutely crystal clear conviction. It’s about violence against women the man’s nationality is irrelevant.

I am white and highly educated as is my ex. He was extremely violent, including in front of his own dc. This can happen to anyone.

I think all of us who work in this field and many who dont knew the minute what it was, of course its violence against women. By a man who believes he has the right to do that. Many men believe that in all cultures and societies across the world, but it is more prevalent in some cultures than others.

Similar happened in Dublin and led to vicious riots in the city centre. The person apprehended had knifed several people including 3 young children coming out of school. When it was discovered who he was, it all kicked off. I hope the same doesn't happen in London. The perpetrator was not an asylum seeker, but had been one and was naturalised, from Algeria. Ironically that country has now been declared a "safe" country by Ireland's Justice minister, so any further asylum applications from that country will be fastracked for assessment and presumably immediate deportation.

I don't know what's going on in the world. But incidents like this really seem to agitate the far right anyway.

When are we all going to wake up to what is going on in this country?! He is a convicted sex offender too FYI

possibly against this partner or an ex. So yes but possibly all part of dv.

Notaflippinclue · 01/02/2024 20:13

Was he a failed asylum seeker and sex offender? No - so what exactly is your point lots of men are rotten we know that

kirinm · 01/02/2024 20:13

Police are saying they don't know what the relationship is between them. Presumably the woman is not in a condition such that she can tell them a huge amount - unless the police just aren't reporting it.

I read an article that said people suffering attacks like this can need over 100 surgeries. Just horrific.

The police will know, they’re just not saying. They’ve already said they were “known to each other” so there is either a familial or relationship connection.

HappyApper · 01/02/2024 20:16

Yes

TitusMoan · 01/02/2024 20:16

Apologies but why wasn’t he deported after the conviction in 2018? I thought that happened now to immigrants who had committed serious offences.

The BBC understands that Ezedi was twice turned down for asylum before being granted it in the end

We don't lock up these violent dangerous men for long enough until they do something completely devastating and irreversible like this. That's the bloody problem. Violence against women and children just doesn't lead to heavy enough sentences until someone dies.

Supersimkin2 · 01/02/2024 20:23

Me too - maybe sex offences aren’t deemed serious. Like DV isn’t.

In SW4 now. No evidence of the Far Right kicking off anywhere except in virtue-signallers’ little heads.

The race accuser chorus on this thread is clearly hoping these non-existent hordes will rush up Clapham Southside any minute now.

fonfusedm · 01/02/2024 20:23

Sentences in general are too lenient. How many murderers, rapists etc have already committed an attack but go on to do it again.

IsEveryUserNameBloodyTaken · 01/02/2024 20:27

He was last seen in Caledonian Road next to Kings Cross Station.
Kings Cross to Hull perhaps by train was his intention.
If the timetable was the same as today last train out to Hull was 8.30 pm but he was seen at the Tesco shop in Caledonian Road a few minutes after 8.30 so maybe that explains the high presence of police in that area now, that they don’t believe he left London.

And even then, all sorts of excuses are made in mitigation as to how he was driven to it.

You've got to laugh sometimes I think they meant ethnic
